When I called them last week to install fiber, they said they had a promotion going on where I was eligible for $500 in Visa card rewards if I signed up right there on the phone, I also got 2 free months of service just cause of where I lived and 6 months of GeForce now. Might be worth calling them and asking about their promotions instead of signing up on the website.
ATT breaches your contract and then charges you more. Beware, there are open litigations on this. They would rather pay fines then keep their contracted priced in place to pull people in.
I hate AT&T, last time I tried to sign up for internet they did 3 hard pull on my credit. Of course, their non-US customer service (which is all they have now) couldn't help me. I had to file a BBB to get someone in the president's office to call me and said they will remove those 3 pulls that they did by mistake.
Can I sign up for this, get the reward cards, and cancel immediately without penalties?
It takes about 7 weeks for the reward cards to be sent out, but there is no contract or commitment.
I signed up for the 2gig fiber internet and receive $500 worth of rebates/visa cards. And my internet speed is out of this world, almost 2500megs up and download.
I have at&t fiber 500 and it works great but just today i got an email saying they were increasing price by $5 starting june. My bill is $65 now so will be $70. Also says autopay or paperless billing will discount $5 and if you use your debit or bank account with autopay they'll discount $10. I've been an existing customer for years btw. Not sure if it'll be the same for everyone.
Go with Frontier Fiber.... They have the Best price for fiber currently. 500/500 $24.99 for 12 months

I'm not saying ATT's customer service is anything special, but I'd rather buy my own router than have to deal with Xfinity ever again. Never had as many bad experiences as I did with customer service reps with Xfinity. As soon as ATT Fiber was available in my area I jumped ship.
You still have to use ATT gateway. You can pass through to your own router, but still.
My SSN was leaked by AT&T U-Verse Internet (currently AT&T Fiber). I'm very sure about this because the address leaked was only used for AT&T internet. My credit cards and driver's license were all on another address.
Better not giving them your SSN, or at least use exclusive email and phone number different from your credit report.
I signed up for $300 in rewards for the 500 Mbps plan. I have received two separate notifications for $100 rewards. What about the last $100? Did you get three separate rewards?
Install was painless and I am using the IP Passthrough on the AT&T Gateway so I didn't have to re-setup my devices/forwarding/DHCP reservations/etc.
My son has noticed a large increase in download speeds.
Overall I am happy for the $55 per month, plus the freebies I am receiving. (Ditched Cox at $67/mo.)
I signed up and the terms said NO PRICE INCREASE for 12 months so I should be good for at least 12 months.
And I am very thankful I did not have re-setup my network. That was my biggest concern. It took a day or two to figure it out (with an ASUS router) but I got it working and posted my settings on the AT&T forums. They key was changing the Gateway to 192.168.2.1 --so I could keep the ASUS router at 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.1.xxx for all those devices.

Switch away and let them go under

AT&T keeps telling me they will eventually add it to my neighborhood, but they will hook me up with 25mbps service for $55/mo!
