Just thought I'd comment on how it's basically magic when something that small can hold so much data for so cheap... and I know that there are ones with even higher capacity! I remember having to install Lotus from a set of 15+ floppy disks.
I have the 1tb in my Steam Deck. Bought it when a Sandisk Ultra just died. The Teamgroup has about 800GB on it, and it's never failed. But it's not super fast and it's a bit flaky-freezes on downloads and runs very hot, and the Deck sometimes doesn't see it until I eject and put it back in. So I can only wholeheartedly recommend it as better than the Sandisk Ultra it replaced, and I will admit it makes me a bit nervous.
That's tough to comprehend although I know the difference is astronomical.

Consider a 128MB compact flash card in 2003. Those things were much bigger than regular SD flash cards. If we were to calculate how a mini-SD card can hold in terms of volume compared to the compact flash card, the storage density of the 512GB card is over 30,000X greater. 60K greater if this was a 1TB card. This gap was achieved in less than 20 years. Absolutely insane.

Will it last in a phone used frequently?

The days of troubleshooting irq port conflicts with the parallel, lpt1 and serial ports... booting up ms dos. I actually found a correl draw and aldus page maker disk (from when I had a Mac) a few months ago cleaning outsome old bins. There was an old zip drive and my digital cameras from the mid 90s.. Kodak digital camera the size of a brick.

Team group is pretty bottom of the barrel. With the Samsung ones that pop up around the same price regularly, id wait.
Agree, their warranty process sucks too.

I've used SD cards that aren't meant for many rewrites and it's lasted me a few years. The 256GB one I have right now is not high endurance and has seen probably 20 rewrites and it's still going strong.

However, don't be me and spend a little more on one for better peace of mind. I probably have a golden SD card.

You have to research the difference between GB and GiB, Windows uses GiB and Android and these memories uses GB. 512 GB = 476 GiB

1 KiB = 1024 B
1 KB = 1000 B

I think it is worth the risk for only $23. Thanks for the reply anyway though.

I don't think money on the card is the loss here. Imagine getting into a accident and you can't bring up the footage because your SD card has been shooting blanks the entire time. That's the bigger problem.
