Are these Govee floor lamps that much better than something like this (Fitop brand) for much less? I've bought 4 of these Fitop floor lamps ranging from about $23 up to $30 over the last year (with coupon codes, etc. on amazon). They're a bit shorter at 51", but I was able to buy 4 of them for the same price as one the Govee floor lamps. So far I haven't had any problems with them. fyi. they do not come with a remote though. For me they've worked well with Alexa.

How are you even comparing two lamps with entirely different specs? The Fitop is only 1500 lumens and only starts at 2700K instead of 2200K. That range of 2200k-2700k is a huge loss and tends to be the most expensive range to replicate. There is no comparison.

These are the Govee.com coupons mentioned the most by Slickdeals users:

SPLASH-CAD 12% off (confirmed on various sensors, light strips, etc)
BOOM 10% off (confirmed on most products)
TAKE5 $5 off per unit (better than the welcome offer, confirmed on various products)

So we don't rehash lessons from previous Govee deal threads:

- Govee is a Chinese brand, but they tend to have exceptional quality, outstanding customer service/warranty, and many fans on SD, which is why they consistently hit the Front Page.
- Their Bluetooth only devices often pair with Govee WiFi hubs for their other products, allowing remote access to your devices out of the house and on the app. For example, their BT hygrometers connect to the v2 water sensor WiFi hub.
- There are no international transaction fees even though Chase says it's international.
- The warranty experience is much better when you buy direct, as opposed through Amazon. Your order is directly tied to the app, meaning you can initiate a recall of a defective unit with free shipping directly through the Govee app with one click; no phone calls or hassle.

I was just pointing out a much cheaper alternative if all someone wants these for is for a color lamp to play along with their music or set a color up for their environment. Also, I'm guessing the average person has no clue what a range of 2200k-2700k even means, much less notices. If you're truly looking for a wider range of whites, then yes, for sure go with the Govee or something other than the much cheaper Fitop.

Before doing that, there are several key differences you should note. The Fitop is missing the range of 2200k-2700k, which is literally the most in demand and soothing color frequencies in mood lighting, including the range of fire, candlelight, sunrise, etc. It is also not as bright.

When buying a lamp, choose a dimmable one with the widest color spectrum and the highest lumens. Also try to stick with the same brand throughout your house, so the color frequencies match exactly.

Do you work for Govee? How much can 200 lumens really matter? Have either been tested to prove it's actually outputting the listed brightness?

They weren't even talking about lumens. They were referencing the color temperature which is a totally different thing. That being said 200 lumens wouldn't make that big of a difference IF (& that's a big if) this Fitop is actually rated to 1500 lumens, which I doubt. And the Amazon reviews seem to back up the fact the fact that this is not a quality product. I purchased 3 "ibaye" branded corner lamps for slightly more than the Fitop brand awhile back & they have been decent, but I have my doubts on whether or not they hit the 1000 lumen rating.

The cheap knockoffs are sold under many different brand names & most have a cheap Tuya smart controller. Which is actually a blessing if you're running Home Assistant or something similar.
