3.3¢/g Protein - Syntha6 Whey Blend (Concentrate > Isolate) [amazon.com]Price: $35.10 for 5 lbs.Unknown % of Protein is Leucine46.8% of mass is Protein46.3% of calories are Protein
Do not be fooled by the $7/lb price. This product contains more non-protein fillers than most of it's competitors, making cost per gram of protein actually kinda high. Not a slick deal in terms of cost/g protein, and most of the protein is concentrate (the cheapest whey).
That said, many report this product tastes better than competitors. That makes sense, the fillers do have extra carbs, fats, and flavors.

But as others have pointed out, it's not a good protein shake; it's more like a milkshake with protein. I used it for like 2-3 years before I started looking into things more.
(I avoid mixing bananas with berries, since bananas oxidize some of good stuff in berries, and that is a pitty)
When I was fat/trying to lose body fat, I just stopped taking protein supplements and focused on a better diet of lower saturated fat foods, lower sugar (less fried foods, less candy/ice cream/desserts) and more higher protein, higher fiber foods (lean baked/grilled meats, whole grains, beans, veggies/fruits).
After that, I used to be a fan of MyProtein but given I was already cutting back on a lot of the fatty/sugary foods I enjoyed, I moved on to Optimum Nutrition. MyProtein is a better supplement but it "tastes" awful (even the flavored ones) vs ON it tastes good, relatively good price, and mixes ok.
Two key things here are to not completely deprive yourself and do it slowly. I think losing too much weight too fast is what kills it for most people. I still go on benders for bad eating for 2-3 days straight every now and then and find it pretty easy to lose that weight after a few weeks.
But again, I'm not an expert/doctor- just some guy giving advice.

I have spent too many decades pounding nasty proteins, sometimes I just want to enjoy them without cutting horrible flavors with good tasting powders.
Way back, Syntha 6 Mochaccino was the best I ever tasted, not sure why they decided to axe that flavor. Now I stick to their Cold Stone line as they taste the best to me. I still get bit by bad buys when I try to find new flavors. I just finished up with a tub of Protizyme Butter Pecan Cookie. $50, and it was so bad, and I love Pecan Sandies. Despite reviews, tasted nothing like them. I had to mix it 50/50 with something better to get through it. Still had to dump the last ounce or so cause whatever settled to the bottom was so bitter.
$31.89 after discounts for the Chocolate Cake Batter. Thank you OP for the heads up!
