I had a price alert set for this item for a long time (7 years?) and this lowest I have ever seen it drop to. The home I purchased 9 years ago had a Honeywell Ademco alarm system that required a $30/month home monitoring service to be able to utilize. I tried the paid monitoring for a while, but we decided to cut some monthly bills and discontinued the service. This device lets you monitor your legacy home security system via your cell phone. If you get an alert, you can call the police and save yourself the $30/month. It will also enable Alexa skills that you can arm and disarm the system with your voice and set a schedule to auto-arm your system on a regular schedule.
The installation will require some tinkering, so just be aware that this install will require you to open your security panel, attach some wiring and connect the device to your home network.
