bleh i wish this was any of the other CEOs because the CEO Thumbstud is the budget knife of the line and has the worst steel of all the CEO models along with not having a flipper...but that said, for 20$ that is a pretty stellar shipped price on it, soooo i bought one and you get a thumbs up from me, lol. thanks!

I see. You can find a fair variety of pocket knives with 8Cr steel on Amazon since it's a fairly common chemistry. I'd recommend looking into the Duratech with 8Cr and Axis lock. It's only about $12 after the usual 30% off coupon they offer

Perfect for my meals at work. Been looking similar knives for a while.
Thumb stud is perfect so the flipper tab is out of the way and flush in the pocket.
Looks non threatening too compared to the others I've brought with me or BS plastic ones.
I eat 4k+ clean calories a day so this is gonna get a lot of use.
8cr steel takes an edge so fast too - people are quick to hate on cheaper steels but you can field sharpen in a minute unlike a tool steel like D2.
I'm open to other similar suggestions for my use case if anyone has them.

The thing I love about the CEO is that it doesn't take up a lot of space in my pocket. It opens fast too. I've carried it and use it daily for about 6 years now. One time the blade chipped and sent it back and they replaced the blade for free. SHEIN sells knockoffs that I just had to see, it's okay for the 5 bucks but I prefer the original.

Personally, I bought and posted this for the form factor factor. I think the build quality from CRKT is reasonable and relatively reliable compared to other knifes in the sub 20 range and this will be a good cheapie to swap in for EDC if I am ever worried about losing it.

CRKT is notorious for overpricing their knives. Would not touch this one for $20. You also may not be able to purchase it in some states since the blade exceeds 3 inches. It's not going to be horrible, but you can do better even for $20.

Love the CEO. Cheap, graceful, lightweight. A practical knife for ordinary people who don't want that "wannabe special forces" call of duty look to a knife. It's not for outdoorsmen or soldiers and doesn't pretend to be. I wish it came in a tip-up configuration and that swappable cheap decorative parts were available from the manufacturer, but you can't have everything.

I can't speak to the reputation of the vendor though
