Yes, and it's reasonably light for a laptops with those specs. Only a handful of 16 inch laptops are lighter (LG Grams, Swift Edge, etc). My only gripe is that 350 nits is too low for me, but may be fine for others. I only buy laptops with a minimum 400 nit peak brightness displays now, especially in this price range. Also, a 1600p display would have been much better at this size. I definitely notice the difference between 1200p and 1600p 16" displays. Other than the display, the specs are pretty decent. Would be more compelling at a $200 or so discount whenever it goes on sale.

Although Sale information isn't explicitly mentioned in Costco page, I think they're actually offering it at far lesser price than the expected Launch price. let me explain why.

This specific SKU, SFG16-72T-95LG, has not been released yet in US by Acer and no other retailers are offering it. Closest I could find is the model # SFG16-72T-57PH, [amazon.com] sold and shipped by Amazon, for Preorder (June 14 release date) at @ $849.99. But that model is significantly lower speced, coming with Core Ultra 5-125H, just 16B of Ram and 512GB SSD, vs Core i9/32GB ram/1TB SSD configuration in this one, for just $50 more. This looks like a Costco exclusive launch and they're offering it at a lower price, at least for now.

Would be the perfect laptop with a better screen.

PCs are sliding towards Mac territory. Fixed ram now, next they'll start soldering in the SSD.

If only this laptop had at least 2560 x 1600 resolution (WQXGA, not WUXGA), more RAM (32 preferably 64), and a H-class CPU.

H-class CPU performance is like night and day versus the Ultrabook mobillity power-efficient CPUs such as the Ultra/U/P/Y/G processors. Everything simplify "flies" on the high-performance H-class processors compared to these more power-efficient ones. Apps opening, programs and updates getting installed, everything.... is so much faster.

Ugh.... why can't there be a perfect laptop that meets checkboxes such as WQXGA or above display resolution, 16-inch or above display size, upgradeable RAM or 32-64GB if soldered, lightweight (4-ish lbs tops), touchscreen, H-class CPU, and discrete GPU options.
https://i.slickdeals.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
I am ok with 2-hour battery life if the other checkboxes can be met.
This has H Class CPU, You probably are not completely aware of the nomenclature of the Core Ultra series meteor lake Processors. Both P (restricted to 56W max) series and H series (Resticted to 110-120W) are replaced by Core Ultra H series which can be configured from 28W to 110W. The difference is that these meteor lake Processors have improved a lot in efficiency over 13th Gen Raptor Lake based H series Processors, while providing similar performance.

So I bought the brand-new newly-released 2024 LG Gram that has the Core Ultra 7-155H
and I ended up returning it because it's performance was exactly like the i7-1360P before it in the 2023 LG Gram. They were sluggish (relative to i7-12700H, i9-13900H, etc..).
Even a 10th gen i7-10700H is so much faster.

I can't imagine the Ultra 9-185H will be much faster than the Ultra 7-155H.

Below is the brand new 2024 LG Gram with Ultra 7-155H that I ended up returning.

Gram series is never known for fetching higher performance from the CPU. And from your comments, it is pretty evident that you have little understandin how modern Mobile CPUs work because you're trying to guess performance from model numbers.
To explain in very simple words, A mobile Processor, whether it belongs from AMD and or Intel has a minimum and maximum allowed TDP but manufacturers can configure and tweak that for every device, setting the minimum power, long term Boost TDP (PL1), Short Term boost TDP (PL2), based on the category of the device and their cooling capacity.
Now, LG Ram is a designed to be as much as portable and slim as possible, putting performance on the back sit. They have never been known from fetching the max capable performancer from the CPU due to their their super slim design and moderate cooling solution, to keep it slim and light. There are cases with other laptops with i7-12700H or i7-13700H, performing 15% slower than a full size gaming laptop having the same processor.

So, your can't really guess performance of a Processor in a different machine by comparing it with performance of another machine having the same CPU.

Just to give you an idea, the Alienware M16 R2 (2024 release), also uses the same Core Ultra 7 155H or Ultra 9 185H and Dell allows it to go up to 120W PL2 and 100W sustained TDP and because of that it performs similar to a Core i9-13900H but still being efficient than raptor lake. Just check the review: -
https://www.notebookcheck.net/Ali...547.0.html
However, this Core Ultra H series is a direct replacement of H series and P series, by providing greater level of TDP control, they are still slower than HX series Processors which are basically based on their Desktop processors, has huge core counts and even greater amount of TDP control, almost 200W. But those are mostly for desktop repalcements as their battery life is extremely poor.

Hope this helps to give you an idea about how the same CPU performance varries across devices.

Now coming back to this one, this still falls under Ultrabook Category and not going to perform like a gaming laptop with same processor. But the reviews I have seen, it has better cooling solution that LG Gram 16 with two fans and two heatpipes. The performance is on the upper side for ultrabook category. Check the below review for some idea: -
https://youtu.be/K4jRCJFf6YA?t=230

if you're looking for raw performance then you need to either get full sized gaming laptops or higher end productivity laptops with far better cooling solution, enabling them to push the processor closer to its max allowed limit.

Do you know if the LG Gram PRO version will perform better than the regular LG Gram?

if you don't mind me asking, for what kind of work, you're hunting the laptop for? Like performance, designing work, Content creation, portability etc. if you can share that in details, may be I can suggest something meeting your needs.

OMG. Thank you!!! I am looking for snappy performance to edit & create videos while also being portable/light at the same time because I carry the laptop all around my house from sofa to bed to desk plugged in to two 4K monitors. Battery life is not important because I don't travel with it. I need it to have 16-inch or larger, 2560x1600 or higher, and I need touchscreen because I use that a LOT especially to check multiple boxes and stuff. For example - selecting multiple emails in my inbox is so much faster by touching screens than uses a mouse/touchpad, combined with my carpal tunnel wrist issues when using mouse/touchpads which is also why I prefer a lighter weight laptop. 4.5 lbs is around max what I can lift comfortably while I work with it on my lap and around my house . Thank you!!!

The Asus Rog Flow X16 and the Lenovo Slim 7 16IAH7 are the two options that I have seen so far - both around 4.5 lbs although I would like them lighter around 3 lbs, lol. The Asus has upgradable RAM two slots as well.
