In my experience, Home Depot never has good sales or deals. Lowe's will put out clearance items or returns with huge markdowns and often you can still negotiate lower. For typical home owners and DIYers, Ryobi is just fine. You're welcome to spend $200 on a drill set from Dewalt or Milwaukee if that's your preference but I renovated my entire 3 level townhouse with $500 worth of Ryobi tools (that's including a sliding miter,table saw, and wet saw) without issue, except for one multitool that I burned out bc of my noob error.
