I was going to get the original 535 bugout, but they don't have it on their site anymore. I considered getting the 535-12 because I thought the only difference was the tan grivory instead of blue. I'm glad I looked it up because the 535-12 has a stonewashed blade finish. The original blue bugout has a satin blade finish. In my opinion and experience satin is superior. I think stonewashed blade finishes are a lazy, cheap way to "finish" knife blades. I'm disappointed.

That's great... Focus camera blocked me after going through several of the links. Grr annoying. Their algorithm is broken. Page won't load with my IP anymore.
Same! Why advertise here if they don't want customers joining from their chosen URLs? They're losing out on immediate purchases AND repeat/delayed buyers lmao
I keep waffling over this, but I'm always looking for a replacement for my Kershaw Blur assisted open—does anyone know if there's something similar from Benchmade? The ease of opening/closing matters the most—I'd be putting this knife to work.
I have a (now ~22 years old) assisted kershaw that still works great. That said, I prefer the opening of the axis lock far more. A well broken in knife with a lock like the Benchmade axis or Spyderco compression opens nearly as fast but is far easier to close since you don't have to push against the spring. And you can slowly open as well if you don't want the switchblade vibe.

Any recommendations for good 1-handed open/close? Never owned a Benchmade, but I've always been partial to three aesthetics if the Griptilians. Do you have any experience with different versions of the axis lock?

Side question tho: why does a camera store consistently have the best Benchmade deals?
Tried two different browsers.
