They were in my cart for few days and just dropped in price. I am going to use them for side surround. Please note this is the price for each speaker, the II in title is part of speaker name.

These are in walls,
1 inch titanium dome Tweter can pivot 15 degrees,
6.5" Cerametallic™ woofer
They are large, 8*13 is the cutout size.
Magnetic paintable grill
Treble and midbass attenuation switches and IR receiver knock out
Electronic expo is an authorized klipsch dealer.

No, and if you could they would need some power source anyway
FYI, $99 price is for each speaker, not both/two

Audio is fairly subjective but I love Klispch speakers. I don't have any experience with Polk. I would pull the trigger on these if I needed more right now.

5502 is best for a center channel and these are best for surround/atmos.

Thank you

I've got time. In next 6 months I'll have a brand new living room so figure i might as well wire for theatre.

How do they compare to

Klipsch R-5502-W II

Or

Polk Audio RC85i

Any guidance would be helpful.
RC85i are 8 inch drivers, R-5800 will be the correct comparison.

5502 is for centre channel, R-5800 can be front LR. As said 5650 are aimed for surrounds duties mostly, not that you can not use them as front LR. These should be pretty comparable to RC65i

I have not heard the in wall polk but was using polk es10 as surround speakers till yesterday and was pretty content with them.

Anybody try these or something similar in their ceiling rather than in the wall?

I tried 5650 for all 5 channels in ceiling and I liked them.. they sound good without even a subwoofer

Dang I'm clueless. But thank you for pointing out they are not all apples.

Can I pair this with some sort of Bluetooth controller to skip running wire through the ceiling?
ya, make sure you turn your tesla coil up past 7 to provide the power to the speakers.

Why? I would love to see the imaging projections using (6) 6.5" FLAT, NON-DIRECTIONAL IN THE WALL speakers in a theater room Wink

Kind of. There are aftermarket Bluetooth DAC's for example the esparagus project ( https://www.crowdsupply.com/sonoc...dia-center ) but those (like all electronics) still need a power source, probably wired. Even the "Loudest" model of that project is only 20W. I haven't found a mesh network solution for speakers yet and nothing that is surround sound capable (they can do mono/stereo but no more)
