I don't have any experience with those shoes so I can't give you a good review. I will say that to me, they feel most like the Saucony Endorphin Speed 3 for what that's worth. The Speed 3 was my favorite shoe and this is the closest I could get even with owning the Speed 4.

They feel more cushioned than the New Balance shoes I have owned (FuelCell Propel V4, 860 v11, 860 v12).

Thank you! I actually have an Endorphin Speed 3. I've only taken them out for two 3 mile runs. Do Speeds get softer over time? They didn't feel as soft as I'd like. I'm a slow runner and like something squishier (I'm really enjoying the Vomero 17s that just came in).

In my experience (very average marathoner), the Speed 3 don't break in. If you don't love them right away on your first wear, I don't expect that your opinion will change. I feel that for plated shoes like the Speed 3, they tend to feel better if you pick up your pace. So depending on how slow you're going, they may not be activating in a way that helps you feel good.

Thank you. Makes my decision on keeping them a lot easier. I actually tried out the Puma Deviate Nitro 2s and for a plated shoe, they definitely had a bit of that pillow feel.

You know, I realized that I forgot to really answer your original post but for what it's worth, the Cloudsurfers feel like the Speed 3 in terms of snappiness, but they are much more cushioned as well. I think they're worth trying if that's what you're looking for. I haven't run in anything with more cushion.
