Was down to buy these until they announced they won't play over WiFi. I'll just stick with my XM4. Thanks for posting.

Yea maaaaybe they'll be 20 percent off in November but you can't stack codes. So yea wait 6 months to save 5 percent yay

I keep getting emails from them saying this is their most anticipated product, but problem is everyone anticipated they would work in the Sonos WiFi ecosystem and they do not.

Ya don't live 5% interest on your savings???

And they're waiting for 100 off, last time I checked, that's a 50% nicer discount than now. Of course no guarantee it will, but like the poster, I can wait, it's not pandemic anymore, and it's merely curiosity. The headphone and toilet paper craze is over.

The question is, to what benefit?

Aren't most of you just casting music from Spotify on a different device anyway?

WiFi has many of the same latency issues as Bluetooth, so using it for gaming or movies isn't exactly ideal.
