What geek as a retailer is a bad move, their support is awful and they don't often email when things are shipped.

Their discord is a complete shambles.

I have ordered from them twice but recently things have gone downhill so I wouldn't support them.

I've been looking at the range of these for a while....found the TH80-x this morning for $50 and pulled the trigger...had I not...I might of on this. They are significantly better than the Corsair and Logitech ones currently posted imo.

The TH80 line is definitely worth a look, especially at $50. I'm personally not a huge fan of the TH80-X aesthetic (and also don't like the fact that you can't use that knob for volume control), but it has everything else that one might be looking for at this price point!

One quick point for anyone looking into the TH80-SE – that keyboard has north-facing LEDs.

The th80-x knob's default control is volume and mute. It also has south facing led.

I second this. Horrible experience with their customer support after receiving defective items. Eventually had to dispute the charge with my credit card because they refused to provide a refund

I have this keeb in black. Typing on it right now. The only thing I don't like about it is the backlight. It doesn't shine through the keys. It's only for aesthetics. Unless I replace all the keys with shine through ones.

What's the knob used for then? Also, I got the TH80-SE. Was that a mistake?

Hipyo Tech has a good breakdown of the 3 versions of the TH-80 here: https://youtu.be/E-gx-X1Ifvo

TL;DR – the knob on the X is used to navigate the LCD screen menu.

Also, north-facing LEDs are only an issue if you want to replace the switches with certain types. There are certain brands of switches that aren't compatible with north-facing LEDs (not sure which off the top of my head). But plenty are compatible, so it's not like you have no options if you want to customize down the line.

FWIW, I would pick the SE if I were looking at the TH-80 line.

Thanks for the vid. First comment says you can use the knob to control volume:

The TH80 X the knob does control volume. It is a bit confusing but you have to press the knob to switch between screen menus and volume."

Hipyo Tech was incorrect about the knobs. I do recommend his channel as it's well done. I never thought I could watch so much about keyboards without being bored by it.

To clarify at bit more on the differences. The th80 has south facing led and no led screen or badge. The th80 pro has the same stuff as the non pro with more software options as well as per key addressable rgb.The th80 se has north facing led and a rgb epomaker badge. The th80-x has south facing led and a customizable led screen. They all have the knob for volume/mute, rbg color/brightness, win/mac, etc...

South facing leds are also compatible with side printed shine through caps while north facing leds are not.
