Also, the brush heads are more expensive than knockoffs, or even the old Oral B sensitive heads.
Overall, I'm happy with it because I like how it brushes, but I'm not sure that it's enough of an improvement to justify the increased brush head cost for most folks.

Telling people to change their brush heads at 3 month intervals is actually a public health recommendation (based on what people may actually afford and perhaps do) rather than an optimal interval. Studies actually concluded that a brush should be changed as soon as the outer bristles splay out beyond the brush head base. I've seen this as low as 9 weeks in studies. So, if having a cheaper brush head allows someone to change their brush at around 2 months instead of 3 months, then that will result in a more effective brush than any of the buzzwords Procter & Gamble tries to use to covince people the brush is better.
If however someone just like the style or ergonomics of the newer brush, that might be a good reason to get it.
