Choose from different deal on KFC website or download the App. The deal I'm posting about is 40%off a bucket of chicken. I heard there were free deals today only but haven't found it. didn't go thru all specials tho.

It's not regular pricing but I was able to get drums for 99c a pound and boneless breast for 2 per pound at my local grocery store. Sure you gotta go through the hassle of breading and cooking it yourself but you can make this yourself healthier, tastier, and cheaper by just shopping smart and putting in the effort. If you're pressed for time sure I can see the appeal of the deal but I'm with you. Wow, the price they want for just breading and frying up some chicken is insane. I was thinking I was going to get 12pc for like 10 or 11 bucks with the deal but I guess they do the usual trick of pricing up the food and then giving a "discount" that makes the food a semi reasonable price . I'd say unbelievable, but it's totally believable considering the state of the fast food industry nowadays. It's like subway charging nearly 15 dollars for certain footlong sandwiches, with a BOGO deal it's barely reasonable. Without a good discount it's highway robbery for the lack of quality and portion size.
Hey guys. This guy just discover that if you cook the food yourself it's cheaper. We have been paying more for someone else to cook the food for us all this time. Who knew?
Maybe bird flu and culled chickens made price go up
That's it. In addition to inflation and shrinkflation there has been 2 outbreaks of bird flew in the last 3 years. You'll notice that any chicken item on menus have gone up. In my city there are hundreds of chicken teriyaki restaurants. Their prices are insane now.
You can't really compare grocery store chicken prices to fast food. Grocery stores have always used prepared foods as a "loss leader" to get you in the door. If you want the lowest priced fried or rotisserie chicken that's still very good, grocery stores are the way to go.

Believe it or not, half of Americans are too stupid to know that you can save money by cooking your own meals and buying certain frozen food foods. The other half is just too damn lazy to cook or learn to make a basic meal. That's why the fast food industry is worth $360 billion.
