HF is 8V (vs 12V) and not brushless, so the Dremel is a lot more powerful. Yes, they have comparable RPM, but the power difference means the Harbor Freight will get stuck doing anything more than polishing soft materials, while the Dremel can actually cut things. (Plus 2ah vs 3ah battery)
Good deal, but man I wish they had a better chuck for these things after all these years. the design is awful.

Hello my toenails have fungus in them so they look and almost taste like Cheetos growing out of my toes. Will this be strong enough to grind them down?
Keep in mind that grinding creates a lot of dust. I always wear a dust mask when grinding down Cheeto fungus.

I've come to terms with it. The included wrench wears itself down, and wears down the chuck. I replaced it with a stubby 3/8" regular thick wrench.

Just wanted to chime in. The batteries are interchangeable with bosch 12v tools. Bosch owns dremel, diablo and other tool related brands. I was able to score a 3ah bosch 12v cheap by grabing one of this dremel kits on clearance.

While I love Dremel and own one, I find it using the Milwaukee rotary tool with the dremel chuck far more convenient for me with all my other M12 series tools.

It jams up too easily with dust and then falls apart as you try to unstick it.

Wear a mask when you do this. The dust gets everywhere.

Hate the fake price anchoring.

I have this model, I use it mostly to trim my dogs nails but a Dremel is a handy tool to have around for various things.

I got it brand new on Amazon for $125, just checking now and its not on sale but full price of $150 a FAR CRY away from $249.99 as listed to make this seem like a good deal.

I got this over the Milwaukee version for one reason the battery cost.
You can use the Dremel or Bosch batteries for this and they are both so much cheaper than the Milwaukee batteries.

Performance/specs/etc seemed about the same between them.

But as I went to go fact check, I found this...

https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-M12-12V-Lithium-Ion-Cordless-Rotary-Tool-w-Compact-Battery-Pac... [homedepot.com]

I would say this is a MUCH better deal than what is posted here.

Though I would still prefer my 8250 @ $125 because its brushless and this is the older model. The brushless version is still $200

I already had several Milwaukee tools and couple of M12 batts. So buying just the bare rotary tool itself from Ebay for 50 some bucks made more sense to me. Not bashing this deal, just saying if you are already invested in the M12 line, no need to buy the Dremel.
