Here is the response of Motorola to unlock of Tracfone Moto G Power 5G 2024 (XT2415V) in the Lenovo Forum. Basically, it states that Tracfone is only one that can solve the problem.

"Thank you for reaching out. I have received your IMEI via PM and I was able to check into this further. Tracfone, and many other carriers are now using Remote Unlock on some devices, this allows the carrier to unlock your device without the need for an unlock code. Your device uses this remote unlock method.

Since Tracfone stated the phone would be unlocked after 24 hours I would wait until that time has elapsed then try inserting a SIM (not a Tracfone SIM) in the device to see if it works. If it doesn't you may need to reach back out to Tracfone to see if something needs to be updated in their system to allow the unlock.

Unfortunately, Tracfone is the only one that can help with this concern. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Becky"
People, it's 1 month of service only for unlock.
Better to just order it online at Straight Talk website then. You can get 2 of them for $75 and also get around $7 back from cash back shopping site.

How much would this phone sell after 2 months?
Should be an EASY $50 locally.

The phone costs $45 + taxes in some cases. What's the point of selling it for $50 after waiting 2 months ?

So you didn't even sell the phone!
Just rewards rewarded you - I never heard of this!
I never participated in such deals!

So where can I start? What is out there? This deals is not going to net much.
Also did you move your main line to get this deal - ie port your main number?
Pls educate me!

Remember also that the device is not compatible with the AT&T network. It's limited to VZW and TMO networks even after unlocking.
Why are you saying this is not compatible with AT&T? It seems to be based on Moto's own product page (https://www.motorola.com/us/smart...skuId=1072) when you follow the "Learn more about carrier compatibility" link there. I believe this will work on the AT&T network after being unlocked.

I sold one to lady that couldn't get it to work on AT&T even after taking it to one of their stores. It was previously unlocked. I checked the imei of that phone (too late to help her) on the AT&T byod webpage and it was incompatible. Another one that is yet to be unlocked checked out as compatible on their site. Strange!
Hmm, interesting. I plan to use my 2x orders on an AT&T MVNO and if it turns out they are incompatible, well, I guess I'll have to sell them.

The deals that I did in 2020-2021 with AT&T, T-mo, Sprint, Visible were mainly for "New Line Bonus". You sign up for new service, use your own phone(s), the carriers provided new phone numbers. Typically, for an account with 4 lines, the monthly service charge was around $120 + tax = around $150. Maintain the lines for 2 months and they pay a bonus of $200-$300 per line. So, service cost for 2 months was $300 and you get $800-$1200 in bonuses, paid out by prepaid debit cards, or deposit to your bank account. Easy money.

Unfortunately, those deals dried up after 2021 and the carriers switched to bill credits over 24-36 months. Not worth doing now.

We will find out in 2 months when all the resellers start dumping the phone - diluting its value.
Remember also that the device is not compatible with the AT&T network. It's limited to VZW and TMO networks even after unlocking.
You would be luck to get $100.

ATT has a BYOD whitelist so only if they add TF's exact model number to their list -- if they don't then you won't be able to use it on ATT or any ATT MVNO

PDF shows last updated Feb 2024 (should update again this summer):

TF's recent Moto models -- none of them are supported on ATT:

Probably work on an AT&T MVNO, e.g., Red Pocket/GSMA. Personally, I've used the non-whitelisted Tracfone Moto G Power 2020, ZTE ZMax 2, probably others that I can't recall anymore.

* Forgot, my TF Moto e 2020 (xt2052DL) is currently on Red Pocket/GSMA for about a year or two, now, too.

Yep, AT&T is VERY picky about their whitelisted models. Even when the 4-digit model number match, if the suffix "V", "D", "VL", "DL", etc isn't on their list, it's not accepted.

Don't know the exact date of the Moto G Power 5G 2024 release, but I think it was later than February 2024. So hopefully, newer models might appear on the list in a future update.

if Ordered from ST Website don't even have to wait to sell them the $45 plan is tied to IMEI when activating anyone can use it on their account. Sell Phone+1 month plan older 2023 ST model by itself is selling for $89.99 new on Ebay without a plan.
