I'd recommend below one instead of this Dell one that you can't really do anything with regards to upgrades. I don't know if they have improved the airflow or not but 8940 was terrible for airflow.

Or even this one if you're set on having DDR5.

Are all dell desktops not easy to upgrade? I have a free $200 to spend so I wanted to buy a cheap Optiplex one and slap a good graphics card in to run Half Life Alyx on my Oculus Quest 2, here's where I was looking https://www.dellrefurbished.com/d...-computers

I've never gotten one of those optiplex machines but when I looked into this before only couple of older models were easy to do a case swap with. Pretty much all of their desktops are not easy to do case swap with. Now if you're planning to just add in a GPU then you could do it but you'd have to make sure that your GPU is not too big for the case, the PSU size can accommodate the GPU power rating, and lastly the case air flow is adequate for keeping the system cool as now you'll have GPU generating heat too.

In general, there's just more headaches to deal with Dell if you're planning to do upgrades. If you're not then by all means you can use the system as is and save a few bucks along the way.

460 watt power supply seems very underpowered.

Got this last year with the liquid cooling +$50 option, and added 1 TB M.2 storage.
Very solid specs for a business PC with occasional light gaming.
Never had a problem with the power on this efficient 4060 Ti.
Did a lot of research and went with this over the Alienware options
