This amounts to just over 4 minutes of talk time per day. 4 texts per day. 4mb of data per day. To put it in a different perspective, that's around 2 hours of talk time per month.
These plans are for people who....sigh. I have no idea. People who don't use their phones? Who are on wifi 99.9% of the time? Who just want a number but never heard of VOIP services? Who want a bargain basement slow-as-molasses Android phone with a paltry 32gb storage that's shared with a bloated OS? Which runs even slower when you install anything because of how much tracking they do on that platform?
I just wonder if this is a solution to a problem/use-case that doesn't really exist.

she went to a music festival hundreds of miles from home last year and dropped/broke her iphone. she used the tracfone to let us know what happened and to find an apple store to get it fixed. paid for itself in one day as far as i'm concerned.
also got one for my 80 year old father who refused to get a cell phone. Just rides in his car in case he has trouble. Son turns 16 soon, he'll be getting one for his glovebox as well.
Most likely would be lose keys/wallet/cell. Rendering the phone in the car useless.
You should have just spewed out ... I do not need car insurance either because I am so safe and worldy!! (Go feed your cats.)
