I live in LA/OC. Totally not worth it. You need way more than 2 days. You need one day for one activity. And the per day price is lower than half the price of this pass.

LA bus tour - If you look to the left you'll see Will Smith, and to your right a homeless encampment

I believe the point of this pass is allowing you to pick what events you want to go to.

If you want to go to universal studios for two days, this is worth it
That's how I saw it too.

This is probably the worst deal, price I have seen or paid. why? you can only visit 2 sites in 2 days with a family. each site has a lot to see and do and will take a whole day so not really a deal. a deal would be that price for 5 to 7 days. so $160 per person to visit 2 sites is a scam.

I'm in San Diego and I've been waiting for a deal on going to both Zoos. Regular price for each zoo is $74. This doesn't seem like a deal at all.
Isn't the local annual pass for both combined like $100-150?

This is an incredible value for NYC. Between the tourist double decker bus that is included and the subway, you can easily hit 3 or more locations in one day. Many of the main tourist attractions cost $40+ each.

No matter how many days you spend in NYC, you'll never hit all the sights in one trip. So why not really dedicate two days of your trip to seeing a bunch of places and do things more leisurely on other days?

I'm a bit. & raised New Yorker and ho now lives elsewhere. I am definitely buying this for my sons & and I for our upcoming trip
I think statue of liberty, empire state are the only useful ones right?

I was unaware of that and another commenter said that to me. I'm gonna look more into it, but I think you're correct

Useful in terms of cost or worth visiting?

Cost is undeniable. Sights, I'd say any of the 4 observation decks are worth it so just visit 1. Empire State is most famous and they've done a good job of adding other things to the experience besides just the view. One World Trade is very nice and the highest. Top of the Rock I've never been to but they have the new beam ride that recreates the famous picture of the construction works eating lunch. Edge has the big las floor that hangs over Manhattan.

Statue of Liberty is obviously great, the famous museums on it are all worth your time. Beyond this there are at least a dozen of attractions that I would rank just below everything I mentioned.

If you plan your visits wisely in terms of travel, have quick meals, and are ok with not seeing every part/display of every attraction, you can see a lot in 2 separate day.

I can speak best to the NY pass since I already know the pricing of many of these activities. This is an absolute rip-off. Most of these activities cost about $30, so you would need to fit in 5-6 of them in two days just to break even. There's another company that makes something called City Pass, which is a little cheaper than this, gives you a few less options and only lets you do 5 activities, but also gives you 9 days to do them.

I agree. We are actually traveling to San Diego soon and planning to buy the Go City Explorer Passes (based on number of attractions, rather than number of days). Wish Costco had those instead!
Costco does have the SD restaurant gift cards

Planning on doing a Cali trip with the family and wanting to spend two days in San Diego. Would it be possible to do the Zoo and Safari in one day and Legoland / Whale watching tour the second day?
I see what you're trying to do, and if that's as much as your budget affords then I totally get it. But honestly, no. The SD Zoo is massive, and the Safari park is a good 45mins- 1 hr hour away. So aside from needing nearly a day at each (arguable for the Safari park) it's just gonna be an all out sprint.

As for whale watching + Lego Land. I suppose if you got a real early boat out that miiiight work, but if your kids are anything like mine they'll be bummed they didn't have the full day for Lego Land.

Just trying to speak from my experience at each, but I hear you and hope you have an awesome trip, SD is absolutely amazing!!

I totally agree. I live in San Diego and those attractions require you to spend at least a day each to have the best experience. So if you're spending two days here, you'll have to sacrifice two out of four of them. That also means you'll be forgoing many other things San Diego has to offer.

Yours is doable and I get it, we did that kind of travel before with the family. Just have a great time here in SD.

Whatever you do, learn from it and use that experience for your next trip.

Some people like to vacation to explore and get new life experiences. I'll never understand why some people will fly half way across the world to sit next to a pool or random beach for a week.

2 day pass is way too short of time to enjoy these attractions- not to mention if exploring SoCal.. transit time between attractions can take hours between locations due to traffic and distance.

FYI the "Polynesian Cultural Center" in Oahu is a front for the Mormon Church. Stay away!

You need to spend every waking moment here at Slickdeals if you want to stay up on what's an actual deal. If you did, you'd know that Universal Studios has a 2 for 1 deal going on right now. laugh out loud

Seriously, you'd have to go on a hard core, back-to-back juggernaut of a vacation to make these pay. I could see it as a whirlwind girls/guys weekend, maybe, but you couldn't pay me enough to drag kids around and see enough of these to make a 2 day pass pay.
