I want to change payment method, but I'm like 80% sure that's one of the reasons price will go back to normal.

The way I read that is if you don't cancel or switch plans, then you can keep the Disney + price. Technically you are not canceling (by taking up the hulu offer) and you are not switching plan (still hulu ads Disney no ads).
