I know this original post says "claim the offer by June … 2024", but this streaming offer shows up still on the walmart+ page for promos. Can one do it again with a 2nd walmart+ account and new paramount+ signup?

Forgot to cancel bc they would cancel the plan immediately not until the promo ends. Got an email that they switched me to paid plan for $64/year and had the audacity to put Congratulations! in the email...

Switched to Paramount Essential which is free and included with W+ , but it says it will switch on Jan 31 and will charge me prorated rate until then.... And of course no way to cancel it. Now will have to reach out and waste time on this...

Did they charge you yet? Not sure what payment form to look for? The button to change doesn't work

Yes, charged several days ago. Requested refund, they said they wlill and never did. Not worth my time to reach out again over this and waste time getting an agent from an apprppriate department (others wont do it). I'll just dispute the charge with CC and never do business with W unless I have to. Not renewing my W+ either which I go essentially for $8 after Amex credit. I swear it was not worth even those 8 bucks

If you forgot to cancel, thats on you not walmart. They even sent a reminder with your options a week in advance.

Their terms clearly said it will auto renew and that part was not hidden anywhere.

No, they did not send any remindeers

Moreover, if they were transparent abt this, they wouldnt end the subscription once you cancel auto renewal. Prime doesnt do that, even Hulu doesnt do that either. Frankly, dont remember any company in recent years that does this

Also, I cancelled immediately once received the "Congratulations!" email. Respectable company would cancel and not charge you since you havent used the service after the renewal. This is called pushing it onto customers who wouldnt remember to cancel on time half a year into the future.

Not yet. Renewal date says the 5th so a few more days. No email about it though. The thing is I have this fitness membership through One Pass Select / United Healthcare for $34 a month. As a perk it includes W+. So my W+ is paid directly through them. I think that complexity is what is screwing it up. You would think that W+ would use my other payment method. I made sure not to have any working ones on my account for the 5th.... Have no idea what will happen.. One Pass can try to pass on to me for all I know.

My renewal updated to Feb 5 so the renewal happened, I dont see any evidence of being charged.

I bet One Pass probably pays discounted group rate to Walmart to offer it as a perk and that Walmart is trying to charge them directly in which case they may try to pass it on to me but not sure how.

The right thing to do would be to contact customer service and ask wtf is going on but Id rather take my chances and see what happens

This pettiness from Walmart is enough reason to not renew W+

Walmart will never be Amazon, that I know for sure. They will remain the ghetto shopping destination that most folks would despise to set foot in
