Intel admits in its statement that while it's "continuing to actively investigate this issue" it hasn't found the cause of the problem. The crashes appear to be related to power and thermal issues; basically, the chip draws too much power, overheats, and shuts off to prevent damage.
intel still admitted they do not have a fix.
Long time lurker, rare poster here. I built nearly this exact computer and the issues that others have said about the i9s are 100% true. There isn't a cooling system on the planet that will prevent the CPU from hitting 100 C and thermal throttle. I verified the thermal throttling issue by concurrently running a temperature monitor while playing baulders gate 3 and the game or the whole system will crash within minutes of actual play. All my issues went away when I downgraded to an i7-14700.

BTW expect Lenovo to ship out your computer 3 weeks from now regardless of what their site says. I'm still waiting for my 2 week old order to ship. In the meantime, I'm trying to make sure I get any favorable price adjustments that might come up.

Really a bummer, especially with Lenovo advertising future-proofing with upgrade potential on the product page. Thanks for flagging.
