Our 60 inch Sony died earlier this year. Red light error. Wanted to replace it with a UST. Wife has been bothering me to replace it since the kids have their ipads too close and on max brightness. Been seriously looking the past few weeks. Had settled for the Nexigo Aurora Pro with a 130 inch lenticular ALR screen from Ali Express to bring it to life. Ended up biting on this deal. The Aurora pro granted it is tri-color retails for $2700, the screen would have cost a $1000. Time and effort to put it together and the fact that the projector is only covered for 1 year made me go ahead and get this deal. $2800 including the screen, free installation, $100 off the Hisense QD6 via Costco direct $100 off 2 items ($170 for a bedroom tv is not a bad deal), 3 years warranty, $56 towards Costco Executive member rewards made it a worthwhile. Hope the picture is good enough and I don't regret my decision.

Agreed. The 98" TCL was enough to convince me to not go back to a projector until some major advancements are made to close the gap between projectors and TVs.

Looks like TCL is also unveiling some affordable 115" TV's soon too. What a time to be alive.

As someone with a $1600 hisense UST projector, I have no regrets.

I've gotten rid of my TVs. Projectors have less eye fatigue for me, and the ALR screens work fine in semi-bright rooms. At evening, it looks awesome.

Just don't expect super-contrast HDR effects you are used to seeing on TVs.

Do you have a link referring to the affordable 115" TCL tv's? I looked forward to their reveal after CES and the one they're offering now is $20,000! Hopefully there are other cheaper models. I definitely would rather have a TV rather than a projector for high frame 4k gaming and movies.

A 120" screen is 44% larger than a 100" TV.

I have a 120L5F and wouldn't make that trade
