Gog is drm free, you can use their launcher, you can even add it to steam through add a non steam game menu option, you can install it independently with the file downloaded (as far as I am aware)

Pretty sure this is the terrible PC port from the early 2000s. The Master Collection version, especially modded to allow high resolutions, is much better.
