it has been a sad week for us. Our circle has been broken. It has taken a loosey tv station who played games with it superfans to break the circle. I guess that the song sung by the memebers of the grand ole opry (johnny cash, june carter cash, grandpa jones, buck owens, roy clack, barbarba mandrell, vince gill, randy travis, pam tilles, and in 1935 by the carter family, and many other great stars) "may the circle be unbroken" or maybe "the ring of fire". Well our ring is borken and i am not happy to see several of our friends leaving due to a station that did not care about the "family" that such music that they play stands for. We are saddened by the lose of our friends and family memebrs that have decided they could no longer take the sting that was being dished out by uncaring people at gac-tv. May our friends and family return after the sting quits hurting and give us a chance again. We care and when you return our circle will be whole again.your friend cowboy

Thought you all might get a kick out of this. Friday, I went into the bank with my mom while she got some checks cashed. I forget the total of the checks, but it was something like $xxx.97. So instead of getting a handful of change back, she gave the teller a dime with the checks. Obviously she should get some bills + 1 nickel + 2 pennies. The teller had to ask another teller "how do I do this, I've never done anything like this before". My mom and I both were looking at each other like "are you kidding?" The teller is new, but still it's not rocket science.
We've been considering changing banks for a while now for other reasons and this just might be the last straw.

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY OUR GREAT COUNTRY'S INDEPENDENCE DAY

BE SAFE AND ENJOY THE FIREWOODKS

PLEASE READ THE WORDS OF THE FOLLOWING SONG AND REMEMBER THAT THERE ARE 2 MEANINGS TO THE WORDS. ONE ABOUT THE 4TH OF JULY AND THE SECOND THE PROBLEMS WITH DOMESTIC VIOLENCE. I AM SORRY BUT THIS WAS THE ONLY SONG THAT I COULD FIND THAT TRULLY TELLS THE WAY I FEEL ABOUT OUR INDEPENDENCE AND THE FIGHT OF OUR YOUNG MEN AND WOMEN WHO GIVE SO MUCH EVERY DAY SERVING IN THE MILITARY OF OUR GREAT NATION.

Independence Day
(Martina Mcbride)

Well she seemed alright by dawn's early light
Though she looked a lil worried and weak
She tried to pretend he wasn't drinking again
But Daddy left the proof on her cheek
And I was only eight years old that summer
And I always seemed to be in the way
So I took myself down to the fair in town
On Independence Day...

Well, word gets around in a small, small town
They said he was a dangerous man
But Momma was proud, and she stood her ground
She knew she was on the losin' end
Some folks whispered, some folks talked
But everybody looked the other way
And when time ran out there was no one about
On Independence Day...

Let freedom ring
Let the white dove sing
Let the whole world know that today is the day of a reckoning
Let the weak be strong
Let the right be wrong
Roll the stone away
Let the guilty pay
It's Independence Day

Well, she lit up the sky that Fourth of July
By the time that the firemen come
They just put out the flames and took down some names
and sent me to the county home
Now I ain't sayin' it's right, or it's wrong
But maybe it's the only way
Talk about your revolution
It's Independence Day...

Let freedom ring
Let the white dove sing
Let the whole world know that today is the day of a reckoning
Let the weak be strong
Let the right be wrong
Roll the stone away
let the guilty pay
It's Independence Day

Roll the stone away...

It's Independence Day...

RIGHT NOW THIS IS HOW I FEEL ABOUT THE WAY WE HAVE BEEN TREATED BY GAC. JUST BIG RING OF FIRE BURNING US UP ONE PERSON AT A TIME

Ring Of Fire
(written by June Carter & Merle Kilgore)
(recorded by Johnny Cash)

Love Is A Burning Thing

And It Makes A Firery Ring

Bound By Wild Desire

I Fell Into A Ring Of Fire

I Fell Into A Burning Ring Of Fire

I Went Down Down Down

And The Flames Went Higher

And It Burns Burns Burns

The Ring Of Fire

The Ring Of Fire

I Fell Into A Burning Ring Of Fire

I Went Down Down Down

And The Flames Went Higher

And It Burns Burns Burns

The Ring Of Fire

The Ring Of Fire

The Taste Of Love Is Sweet

When Hearts Like Ours Meet

I Fell For You Like A Child

Oh But The Fire Went Wild

I Fell Into A Burning Ring Of Fire

I Went Down Down Down

And The Flames Went Higher

And It Burns Burns Burns

The Ring Of Fire

The Ring Of Fire

I Fell Into A Burning Ring Of Fire

I Went Down Down Down

And The Flames Went Higher

And It Burns Burns Burns

The Ring Of Fire

Old enough to know better (40-something I'd guess). I was talking with someone yesterday who works for the same bank but different branch, mentioning the incident, and she said this teller was previously a loan officer at another branch and when her job was eliminated she took a job as teller at my branch. To me that makes it even more scary because I'm sure it's a lot more math involved in working with loans. Maybe that's why banks needed bailing out. Crazy

Hi everyone.....wow...hardly any posting on this site....sad.....but maybe after the summer...some will come back....at least long enough to post......
I went to Nashville this past weekend.....if you remember....when I went the last time it was the weekend with all the rain, and then it flooded.....so with the $1000.00 gift certificate I won from Delta, my husband and I decided to go back and see the things we missed due to the weather.
We got to the Country Music Hall of Fame...spent the day there....lots to see.....and also went to the Grand Ole Opry...which is at the Ryman Center due to the damage from the flood.....There were alot
of old timers there.....amazing how good their voices still are.....and we also saw Jaron and the long road to love.....which is just 1 person...Jaron.....no group.....he sings that funny song "I'll Pray For You"...as it turns out, he wrote it with the keyboard player of this group "The Scott Collier Group" that plays at Tootsies...a bar on Broadway....and that is where we went after the Opry was done....and Jaron showed up around 1 hour later...and jumped up on the bar and sang it again!!!
It was pretty neat to have that happen.......there are so many talented people working in those bars along Broadway.....we had a great time......
