I recently picked up this set. It is very expensive if it doesn't match your needs exactly, but it does have a few nice features:

-the thinnest overall socket + ratchet profile I've been able to find. I work on vehicles with complicated engine bays, and sometimes small comes in handy. Socket + ratchet is only 17mm. Far thinner than anything else on the market after considerable research.

-tiny ratchet/bitdriver. Once again, when working in small areas, these come in handy. To small for normal use, but they are major timesavers when working in cramped spaces.

-its Wera! They're just a pleasure to use.

just an fyi, the 8001A ratchet and 813 handle are also apart of the Wera Tool Check Plus line for ~$71. You get the 8005 ratchet with this (and more sockets but maybe fewer bits). Comparing it to the Zyklop speed post yesterday for ~$95, the Zyklop speed has a much better ratchet with a rotating head. I haven't done stock on a bit/socket comparison between the three so keep in mind of that but: If you want a slim profile ratchet, go with this. If you don't care for slim profile, I would think the Zyklop speed bundle is better.

It's been that price since Decemember according to the 3cs... before that it was $80 and before that the lowest price in a year was about $65. MSRP on this post is also very misleading. The highest price for a year is only $120 and that was for maybe a week.

How much torque you think they can handle. Cable of working on engine and suspension components?

No, these are finger sized 1/4" drive (and equivalent) ratchets. Smaller than your normal 1/4" (but probably more durable). Think in inch pounds.

Yeah that's a good point, but the draw for me is mostly the ultra-thin profile of these sockets thanks to their pass-through design. I don't need them often, but when I do they're a huge timesaver. Having another tiny 1/4" drive (the 8005) is also a plus, but likely won't see much use.

Wera and Knippex are probably the most befuddled companies that are selling on the US market.
No replaceability, no traceable warranty, no upgradeability either, they just sell for an exorbitant price something that is not even a contemporary design under the pretense of some magic steel alloy composition that would save the world.
Yeah, no thanks, you keep them, I'll pass.

I have never had to replace a Knipex or Wera product, both have always performed as expected. I know there are a few duds and thats why reviews are great. If it wasn't what you wanted then return it.

You forgot Wiha! Wiha is great when it comes to small drivers for electronic and hex keys. When it comes to Wiha pliers I feel there are better options.

Wiha is a mixed bag in the last few years. I've bought a few, and had a few that were of questionable quality. It does bear noting that one of the tool companies I trust has stopped selling them.

Couldn't find the where it was manufactured. Scrolled thru the comments and found one that said it's manufactured in Czechoslovakia instead of Germany. If it matters to anyone

I think all (don't quote me on this) of Wera is made in Czech Republic nowadays. There's a bunch of Wera Amazon listings that claim made in Germany and even China but reports usually have the packaging said made in CR.

Wera's "Made in China" - https://a.co/d/09kjZ9Kw, product package images show made in CR

Amazon's "country of origin" is almost always wrong when it comes to German brand tools. Never trust the info on an Amazon listing page.

Wera tools have been from the Czech Republic (Europe's industrial hotspot) for as long as I can remember, and I'm old.
