Bought one of the S66 at this price last winter. Super nice guitar that I couldn't fall in love with. The controls were wild. Mine came well packaged and the hard case was solid.

All in all, watch videos. If you're looking for a unique semi hollow, this is a great value. But don't expect to resell for a profit or anything. My Facebook has a few of these priced too high.
If you're looking for something similar but even cheaper adorama has "used" / open box (usually MAP avoidance) gretsch semi hollows with p-90's for about $150 less, and if you don't mind filtertrons, those are just $299 and not even "open box".
I picked up a sapphire blue one with single coils last time these were on sale and was not disappointed. I actually grabbed a murdered out black one with P90s this time.

The finish on the sapphire blue is gorgeous and the inlays really pop. It really does look even better in person. It's easily my most beautiful guitar and the one everyone comments on.

I had no issues with it out of the box either. Played well and the action was pretty nice. Zero fret issues. I went over it with a fine toothed comb and found no problems at all. Looks flawless and it's very well balanced. No issues with neck dive.

Not knocking anyone's opinion. Resell value is a legitimate concern but wasn't an issue for me as I am not looking to sell it. There's a lot to like about getting a gorgeous guitar with an ebony fretboard, bigsby and a hard case for $550.

I get what you mean. I had the same issue with a D'Angelico Deluxe. Absolutely beautiful guitar with Art Deco tuners and very well made. It just didn't play the way I wanted it to. Fortunately the resell market for D'Angelicos is pretty good because it's a popular brand with church groups for some reason.

Ended up finding a Gretsch 5410t that was speced the same way and cost 1/3 the price. If you want a hollow body, THAT'S the guitar to get.

I have both black S66 with bigsby from the similar deal 8 months ago and 5410t from Adorama deal a year ago. They are very different guitars in sound, look and feel. Whatever you like more - go for it. But Vox deal looks like a better value if you like the guitar. Both were relatively the same money, but I ended up buying the case for Gretsch for another $200+.

I bought the Bobcat V90 w/ Bigsby in Sapphire Blue last fall as well. The quality is great, and it comes with a case - finding a case for a semi-hollow guitar is not that easy, and will cost about $150 for something from Gator. This guitar won't fit in a standard case or gig bag, and usually a semi-hollow should be transported in a case anyhow. I really like the way the guitar feels and sounds, but I am also a fan of these types of guitars. I have a couple of Gretsch guitars as well - a G5120 and a G5622 - and this is as good as either of them.

Like others said, this isn't something you're going to flip. If you sell it privately, you can probably come close to getting your money back. If you sell it to Guitar Center, you're probably going to get about $300.

I would buy it if you want to try a semi-hollow guitar. I'd steer clear if you're not specifically looking for a semi-hollow.

Received my cherry V90 today. It's a nice guitar, but for me it looks that guitars with bigsby were made to a slightly higher visual standard. I like fretboard inlays and headstock logo on guitar with bigsby more.
Another minor complain about cherry guitar: it has white binding that was artificially 'aged' with yellow lacquer, but pick guard and pickup covers are bright white. They look like new replacement parts on an old guitar.
Overall, I'm happy with it for the money. Nice sound, feel and look. And it stays in tune.
