It is a great value if you actually want the amazon software, prime video, kindle books, etc. But if you want the freedom to use your own launchers and get rid of the junk, look to ONN's at WalMart. Or, I'm waiting on an Alldocube from China at the moment. Will see how it compares.

we've got an older version of this tablet from about 5 years ago that had been always on and plugged in showing a nice weather app if that is any indicator of potential longevity
I'll watch one game on TV and one or two others on my Fire tablets.
The WiFi reception is good - I can go outside for 50 yds away from indoor router no problem.
I dont use tablet for much else.
The downside is that the ads do suck and will freeze the tablet if in middle of something.
I also found a gig of family photos on my tablet and have no idea how they got there
Many might be interested for a tablet with an SD card slot.
