Other than that it's a decent card and the Eno one-time/one-vendor card numbers are very helpful.

If canceled, how long has it been?
It's technically lifetime but it's possible you can get the intro bonus again if it's the credit history has fallen off your credit report. If this is the case you could apply and see if amex pop up tells you that you're not eligible for the sign on bonus.
Otherwise, you can go for the business version of the amex cards if you haven't applied for them in the past.

Amex plat would be another option, 175k intro offer.
Currently people are seeing 100k bonus with $100 in credits for restaurants.
Min 1 cent value for amex points, it would equal the highest recent offer that I'm aware of.
If you value points more then it's better now.
You can get up to $424 back in credits on the amex personal gold so it can be an improvement for some people vs the $250 annual fee and $240 back in credits prior to the most recent increase.

Based on your credit report from one or more of the agencies on the back of this letter, number of bank cards tradelines opened in the last 24 months
I'm pretty sure I've only opened 3 personal credit cards within the last 24 months. I'm wondering if they somehow count business credit cards, because I've opened a couple of those as well. Those aren't supposed to show up on your credit report though, right? But that's the only thing I can think of.
Does anyone know if Capital One has a rule similar to Chase's 5/24 rule? Thanks.

Mine said something about having too many accounts (I have none with C1.) When I called to ask about it, they tried to bring up maybe recent applications, of which I haven't opened a card or applied for over two years before yesterday. Really some BS.

There is also supposedly a limit of two cards that they would issue, not certainly if it's a hard limit.
I don't think C1 will provide the actual reason they denied you though and just provide the same generic excuses for everyone.
