Even the 200 points aren't worth the time for me to read this thread. $7K for 10K what a joke, if I had that much I could expense I'd do the Chase Business for 120K points.

10k isn't enough to move $7k in spend to this card, but I'll take some free points. Thanks!

Huge Marriott guy here but jeez this offer sucks. Use your 7k spend for something better.

Marriott points don't worth alot. 10k points will only get you 1 night at 3-4.star hotel.
Really location dependent. You won't find anything on the West side of the US for 10k points. 20k+ to get you started. This is not a slick deal unless you were going to spend $7k on that particular card anyway.

This is a good deal if you already have the card and have nearly $7k in high category bonus spend (Marriott stays, which is mainly what I use the card for, or a couple of the other things you get credit for -- the $25/mo dining credit with 3X points. It would be worth moving another $500-1000 of dining to the card, maybe, vs. something like an Amex Gold. I'm luckily paying for a bunch of work hotel rooms at conferences so I can max out one or two of these offers.

10k is a joke....But Marriott points in most cases are jokes anyway.
In 2019 I was able to redeem mostly at least 0.7 cents/points to as much as 1.2cents/points.or higher.
Now the value is usually 0.35cents-0.6cents/point and maybe in very rare cases like 0.9 cents/point. It's like 50% reduced value or 100% higher costs devaluation and some of the hotels I stayed in 2019 with points ---for example: Hotel Danieli in Venice already left Marriott. So the redemption is not even possible. I'm so glad I literrly used up almost all of my Marriott points in 2019.

Even then it's a terrible deal compared to using 7k spend for a SUB (or two for 2 smaller bonuses) on a different, better, card.

$7000 spend at 6x Marriott points for the Boundless for example gets you 52k Marriot points with this 10k bonus. Let's say you do 8k for easier comparison though- now it's 58k Marriot points.

$8000 spend on the same hotel rooms gets you 144k Chase UR points for a new CIP signup (120k SUB plus 24k for 3x8 grand on travel spend) then minus a $95 annual fee... That's insanely better.

Or 4k spend gets you 5 free nights up to 60k per night (plus the spend earn) on a new IHG Premium card... or 4k spend gets you $505 net of annual fee cash plus a $99 airline credit for a new BOA Premium card signup. (or do both for 8 spend).

Trash deal here other than the 'free' 200 points for signing up.
