$2000 for a 4070 even with a mini-led display really isn't worth it

Both the mini LED and IPS display options are QHD+. As another poster pointed out this is the mini LED model here. It's the 4060 model that comes with the IPS display.

Alas there are no other 16" 2-in-1 notebooks with 4070 graphics. Of course if you don't want a 2-in-1 you can find cheaper options, for example the G16 from Asus with an OLED display(!) was on sale for $1599 just the other day. But for this very niche category this is the best deal there is.

Sorry to say it guys, but this is not really a good deal. The X16 4070 has been hovering around this price for the past couple of months. This has been cheaper too in other sales. I actually recommend you get the 4060 version as there is not too much of a difference between the 4070 and 4060. The additional 16 GB of RAM is not worth it when you are basically paying an additional $300-$500 for it. I got the 4060 version last week and I am loving it. Ended up decking it out with a 4TB NVMe SSD and 64 GB of RAM and still came a few hundred dollars under this "deal." I also ended up getting the $1500 XG Mobile RTX 4090. It is honestly worth it to wait for a deal on the RTX 4060 version of the X16.

With that being said, the laptop/tablet is a monster. Battery lasts me 7-8 hours without using the processor alone and it does not make any noise. It is excellent for consuming media. It accepts any pen that works in a Microsoft Surface and basically any other touchscreen laptop. It is responsive and there is no lag on the input, plus it registers pressure, so you can easily use programs like Krita with a pen for digital art.

As for gaming, the thing is a beast and will chew through any game you throw at it as both versions come with a fully powered RTX (mobile) GPU. Remember, mobile 4050, 4060, and 4070, all peack ar 100W with no performance gain at higher Watts. This laptop goes up to 120W for the GPU. The laptop is relatively thin and light (4 lbs) and comes with a power brick that delivers 240W.

Whether you chose to buy it now, or at a better sale, you cannot go wrong with this laptop. Did I mention the RAM is upgradable? It takes DDR5 up to 4800MHz and I think the maximum is 64 GB. It has two upgradable SSD slots with one obviously occupied by the default one. My only complaint is that it is lacking a full numpad, but that is because I am comming off a Lenovo Legion.

The price for this is actually lower than listed. I just bought it with the $50 coupon code for $1850. Good price for what you are getting.

Where have you seen a price this low for the 4070 version?

I've only been able to find this for $2299 during Prime Day and then $2399 back in June. This is $400 cheaper than the lowest ever price.
