You can activate phone #1 to have the bundled 1-yr and units loaded to it. Then activate phone #2 WITH A TRANSFER from phone #1; service on phone #1 (phone number, 1-yr, units) get transferred to phone #2, then the bundled 1-yr and units for phone #2 get added on top, giving phone #2 two years of service and 2x the units.

If you're currently using a phone on TF, your can activate phone #1 WITH A TRANFER from your current phone to have your current phone number, days, units transferred to phone #1, then the bundled 1-yr and units for phone #1 get added on top. Then activate phone #2 with a transfer from phone #1. After that, if you prefer to use your current phone, re-activate your current phone with a transfer from phone #2. Smart existing TF users do that all the time to "harvest" cheap service days and units from those HSN/QVC bundles.
Folks, just so you're aware...

The service plan is 1500 text, 1500 minutes, 1.5gb data -- for the *entire year*. Not per month. That's about 4 minutes of talk time per day.

It's an extremely minimal and restrictive cellular plan, one that you could even call insultingly low - especially if you're used to cellular plans in modernized nations (aka, ones outside the the USA). It's not for everyone, and make sure it fits your use case.
No need to be insulted - for many people (for example, those who use less than 4 minutes of phone talk per day) paying $2 (and sometimes less) per month for a phone service which includes a new smartphone every year is a very good deal.

I like this strategy the most. Question for clarification. When you say that after unlocked to merge the numbers to your main number, I take it you meant to harvest (move the remaining time/tests/data to your main line?
I'm a rookie and I don't know what else you might have meant by merging numbers together.
Yes that is correct. This is assuming you have 3 numbers total. Your main TF line, & these 2 donor lines. Take your main line and merge each donor number one at a time. When you do this through chat make sure the rep understands and feels like they know what they are talking about. If they don't just move on to the next rep.

I do this all online through chat as that is the easiest to do with proof. Be sure they understand what number you want to keep & have them tell you your current amounts of data/min for both numbers and the new combined amount. I have done this multiple time with no issues but ymmv. Currently have service till like 2030 lol.

I used new email and different card number, but they emailed the next day saying I already have an account and order canceled.
That sucks. I wasn't sure it would work when I did it.

Yeah, I might try again with different name, Privacy.com card, and different address. That should work.
Wonder if using an apartment address would be fruitful. Like if your house is #10 privit Dr you could use Appt 12, #10 privit Dr instead

Can someone confirm what is the current points you are getting from referral?

I thought they lowered it to 2500 points but I am seeing 7000 points pending from referral with a new account.
I also got 7k points on the new account when using a code from one of my other accounts
7000 Earned Referred by a friend

The referring account got 6k points (2nd tier)

Just for clarification. My current TF account expires 1/2025. If I activate the first phone now, and add my account to it, the expiration date will be 1/2026? Then 60 days later activate phone number two and add my account to it, the new expiration will be 1/2027?

Yes. Easy DIY [reddit.com] to transfer service.

Android (System) Updates: Just a note for those of your that are activating your new phones: Mine required two security updates (one to get it up to May, 2024 and the second to get up to June, 2024). I wasn't prompted to update them, but might have been had I waited long enough. You can go to settings and find "Software Update" to kick it off.

Line Transfers: Also, I've been doing this for many years, and had no problems switching from my current phone to the second phone and then back using the Tracfone site (I have all ~8 years of my data/minutes/text and extended subsription date). The "DIY" process that a lot of people mention works fine. I'm still trying to decide what to do with the second new (Moto G 24) phone. I might keep it as a spare since I might upgrade my primary (old) phone within the next year; if not, I'll go through the same process again. I'm using the Moto G 24 as a spare music player and for miscellaneous apps that work well on WiFi.

Unlocking Policy: The Tracfone Unlock Site [tfwunlockpolicy.com] seems to clearly state that you just have to have activate the phone and then can unlock within 60 days. Either this is poorly-written and inaccurate, or you the phone can be unlocked just by entering the IMEI if it was EVER on the network (I haven't seen much discussion about this, though many people mention that they were able to unlock in under 60 days). Of course, it could be consistent with the rest of the: Poorly designed, sometimes deceptive on purpose, and just low-quality all around. Still, it seems to work for at least basic things.

I hope this helps some of you, and thanks to OP for the original deal. It seems that the better deals come out around this time of year (mid- to late-summer).

Just harvested both phone plans to my original phone. The time gets extended right away but the balances take 15-20mins. Did everything online no help from csm.

Transferring back to the original phone I used the original sim, no need to get a new byop sim.

Only thing that sucks is I had to open both boxes for the text message verification so now they are open box for resale or keep.
Was your original phone/SIM on AT&T or Verizon?

I received the phones today, but there is no SIM card in the package. There is a red "Start Here" booklet that includes the IMEI and a SIM card number. Can I activate the phones without the SIM card?

I've read that you can activate locked phone #1 and wait 30 days than transfer to phone #2 and activate. After phone #1 reaches 60 days (even though it is not being used) it will be unlocked automatically. Than when phone #2 reaches 60 days after activation it will be unlocked.

This may be the cheapest deal currently to extend the service on your existing line for 2 more years.
Unfortunately the AAL bonus is only 500 points I think, so it's not worth the effort (chat with TF to add for the points to show as adding it yourself may not get the points at all. Have not done AAL for a long time so don't know if it improved.) Referral is another way to earn points but sometimes no points are given to either account.

has been the case for me, but the unlocking requirement may be changing [howardforums.com]...
