TPLink makes you pay a subscription to get advanced functionality for security that is included for free with many other brands. My personal experience was that TPLink and Asus both make you beta test their firmware updates and you will experience a lot of downtime and/or bugs that limit your satisfaction with their products. This list of "legal disclaimers" on the Costco website really is telling -- especially #10 and #11.

1、Maximum wireless signal rates are the physical rates derived from IEEE Standard 802.11 specifications. Actual wireless data throughput, wireless coverage, and quantity of connected devices are not guaranteed and will vary as a result of network conditions, client limitations, and environmental factors, including building materials, obstacles, volume and density of traffic, and client location. The 160 MHz and 240 MHz bandwidth might not be available on the 5 GHz band, and the 320 MHz bandwidth might not be available on the 6 GHz band in some regions/countries due to regulatory limits on the spectrum, hence the theoretical speeds may vary.

2、Clients need to support 802.11k/v/r and may require additional setup. Performance may vary depending on the client device.

3、Use of WiFi 7 (802.11be), WiFi 6 (802.11ax), WiFi 6E (802.11ax), and other features including MLO, 320 MHz Bandwidth, 4K-QAM, Multi-RUs, OFDMA, MU-MIMO, and BSS Color requires clients to also support the corresponding features. The 320 MHz bandwidth is only available on the 6 GHz band. Not all 320 MHz channels may be available in the 6 GHz band in some regions/countries due to regulatory restrictions.

4、10 Gbps and 2.5 Gbps internet speeds require compatible service plans and equipment. All WAN/LAN ports will operate as either WAN or LAN ports. Only one port can serve as a WAN port at a time.

5、Matter compatibility is under development and will be supported with subsequent updates.

6、HomeShield includes both basic and advanced features. Advanced features require a paid subscription. For details, visit tp-link.com/homeshield. Some features are under development and will be supported with subsequent software updates.

7、WiFi generations represent the wireless standard IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be.

8、Google and Google Home are trademarks of Google LLC.

9、Actual network speed may be limited by the rate of the product's Ethernet WAN or LAN port, the rate supported by the network cable, Internet service provider factors and other environmental conditions.

10、This Deco may not support all the mandatory features as ratified in IEEE 802.11be specification.

11、Further software upgrades for feature availability may be required.
These are phenomenal. I paid over 200 each and think I got a great deal. Like any mesh system connecting they with Ethernet cables makes them rock solid and much faster. Stay away from the 6E models since it has short range and will not switch to WiFi 6 until you lose signal. These can do 2.4, 5 and 6 GHz at the same time or each one automatically. I get 1250 up and down on Att fiber with their 5 gig SFP module.
I upgraded from axe5300 and my speed went up 100 mb. 950 mb to 1050 mb on my gig spectrum plan. Overall coverage is about the same. I used to have all my wifi plugs etc on a guest network but that didn't work on the be11000 but the IOT network did. The only reason I upgraded was to get the 2.5 gb ports to backhaul and connect my NAS. I ended up getting new switches to support 2.5 GB as well. In the end honestly it was a marginal difference and prob not worth spending all that. Stay with the axe5300. It's a solid system.

Thank you for this — I purchased these last month, went back to Costco after seeing this and got $100 back.

(For those curious about these units, they are solid. I topped out on speed test with 1.4 gigs through a wired connection on my 1.2 gig Xfinity service. Wireless connection has been very good, and setup was easy — but the app is required. This set is also backwards compatible with older deco units, I am using an AX1500 with these.)

Is yours V2.6?
Nm. Looks like there's only one version for now https://www.tp-link.com/us/suppor...o-be11000/

Why would they discount a new device much steeper than this? The identical devices are $799 at bestbuy….

Can anyone opine on wireless backhaul - do the nodes support MLO for backhauling data?

Can these be added to my current M9 Plus setup? I heard they said I can add up to 10 Deco devices?

i currently have the AXE5300 from Costco, is this worth the upgrade?
If you are getting good speeds on your current platform most likely not. But if you want to future proof then maybe.

I would only get this brand from Costco. My initial unit stopped working randomly , got it replaced at Costco last week, I was surprised a 500$ item would stop
Working within 2 months

I have a Orbi AX4200 Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi 6 Router with satellite that I got 2 years ago. It's advertised as 40 plus devices. As of a couple months I now have about 50 devices (includes lots of smart devices like light bulbs) and I've noticed I sometimes have to manually connect to my WiFi with my phone or iPad because I get kicked out. Wondering if I should upgrade or if there is something else I can do. Anyone have any recommendation?

I'm using them as mesh in AP mode. There's option to make a separate MLO SSID for wifi 7 devices. I don't have any wifi 7 device to test. So far, I'm getting comparable performance to my Orbi Pro AX6000.

If I had to guess, your max connection is WiFi 6 on the 5ghz band.

What device you using to test your WiFi speeds? You have only have Apple devices? Only the current iPhone 15 Pro (Max) or latest gen iPad Pro, supports WiFi 6e which is 6ghz. Anything other than those 3 Apple devices ONLY support WiFi 6 5ghz which has a max WiFi speed just a shade north of 600 mb/s.
Sorry, I forgot to mention devices I am testing speeds. MacBook Pro M3Pro that supports Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax) and iPhone 13 that supports Wi‑Fi 6 (802.11ax) with 2x2 MIMO

So your iPhone 13 will peek at around 600mb/s due to the WiFi 6 limitations. As for your MacBook, if it's not reaching 1gb/s, try separating the WiFi 6ghz band from the others. I had to do that to see the WiFi 6, 6 ghz band.

My biggest issue with the AXE 5300 that I have is that it doesn't tell you WHAT device is using such data, which is awful as most of us in America have data caps. Took months before I deduced myself that it was my doorbell camera running wild with a fix being downgrading its 24/7 service

The paid subscription could not tell me that crucial info, and going on the forums I was told it was that "coming soon" stuff. Blah.

I currently have a mix of the Costco 3-packs of the AXE5300 and the BE11000. 2 of the BE11000's are hardwired and have awesome speeds for my wired devices especially (1850/360 on my Xfinity 2 gig service).

I use the AXE5300's only as wireless nodes. Seems ok, but would I see any decent benefit if I returned them and replaced them with 3 more BE11000's? I guess more for future proofing, but also maybe better antenna signal and speeds to some of the distant and outdoor Ring cams that they connect to? Thanks

FWIW my local Costco (Folsom CA) had them in stock but the display signage still showed it at $499, at checkout it came up as $499 and then a separate $100 discount to get to the $399.
They may not be the only store that didn't update their display.
