I think this is the lowest price so far for this 3D printer.
This is after coupon HOTSEASON20 - it's on product page also.

Great deal!
I bought this last time it was around this price. It's a great printer. It's been very reliable for me and the print speeds are as good as you get under $1k.

For me this really has been hit print and go. I've had no first layer issues with it. If I change build plates (it can use the same plates as the ones sized for the Ender 3 family) I will tell it to auto level before printing.

I like that it prints from a USB drive vs SD cards. I haven't setup network printing with the machine. Older reviews say this can only be done with Flashforge Slicer but that is no longer true. It's now supported via Orca slicer.

I will say the fan noise is louder than any of the Enders/Ender clones I've used. However it's not much louder and it is much faster show still having very good print quality.

I personally don't like the way you change filaments. You cut off the filament where it enters the head and then the machine runs it out. It forces you to waste perhaps 2-3 inches of filament. The speculation is this is done for reliability. I still prefer doing it manually as on the older printers.

This vs Bambu Labs A1 mini. I haven't used the A1 mini or A1 so this is more about what I've read. The A1 mini has a significantly smaller build volume. The A1's build volume is larger but more expensive.
The 5M is faster but not hugely so. The BL software and ecosystem is more refined if you work through their servers. Security concerns have been raised about their eco system and that does weigh on my feelings but it also may not be a legitimate concern.

I like that the 5M isn't a bed slinger since I've had a few prints that failed because the bed shaking was to much for the fragile print. Slowing the print speeds fixed the issue but then the print takes much longer.

If you want the 5M to be an enclosed printer, FF has files to print an enclosure. It takes about 1.5 spools of filament and some acrylic panels (seems that the total price would be about $70).

Anyway, I'm a big fan of this printer for the price. I would take it over the A1 mini (similar price) and probably the A1 (about $100 more). This is due in part to concerns related to software security. If I run the BL machines off line I lose one of their big advantages. Also I'm cheap and for similar money the 5M is bigger than the A1 mini while significantly cheaper than the A1.

Looks like the same discount applies to the fully enclosed 5M Pro.

$400 after discounts.

Have you tried PETG with it or only PLA? Tried any third party PLA/PETG? What slicer are you using? I purchased one and have been playing around with orcaslicer but it crashes every time I load a stl I wanna slice. I'm under linux so some additional complications there. I read that the acrylic panels for the enclosure are available on aliexpress. If I read right the 5m doesn't come with a camera where the Pro does....so what camera do you recommend?

I haven't tried the petg yet. I've had good luck with Elegoo PLA. I'm using Orca slicer. I did try FF slicer after having issues with the printer not printing a model that used strings of plastic. It was a model I created inspired by 3D Print Bunny's work
https://3dprintbunny.com.au/
The model had printed on my Ender V3SE but Orca slicer wouldn't do the strings. FF slicer did. Eventually I found a wall setting that was the issue.

I haven't messed with any of the camera or networking options. The printer is in my office so I can easily watch the print and USB the files. It also means I'm reluctant to print resins that may outgas.
