I have this. It is NOT smudge proof and usually looks like crap in my house. You must buy some SS cleaner (3M makes a decent one) and apply once a week. Chemicals for all! It is magnetic as well.

It's bare bones. Hopefully that will help it last. There is an option to add an internal icemaker.

As for keeping food cold, seems to be working fine for now.

Mine died after 9 years, liked it a lot while it worked. This price is only ok.

Replaced it with an LG that's much quieter.

If you look at the reviews, there's a lot of comments of Whirlpools using noisy motors.
