I have the Borderlands Handsome collection on Xbox. I don't have it digitally. Installing it on my Xbox Series X it still was downloading most of the game. Now I see if you want to resell games, sure. But most games have very limited value, such as these $10 ones. I just wait for digital sales whether on Steam, Xbox, or key resellers.
Why are you talking down to people who buy disk....people can do whatever they want. You do you...this was such a needless conversation...seriously.
People buy digital when discs are available? If so, why?
Discs generally have better deals (like this one. GT7 has never been this low on digital), allow you to sell or trade in down the line, allow you to purchase used (saving more money), and allow you to borrow or swap games.
The only advantages I see to digital are that you can't lose the games and you don't have to spend the 5 seconds it takes to swap games out when you want to play something different. But both of those "advantages" are more personal issues than they are objective advantages.
Point made. I for example only buy digital games within 2 conditions;
a) cost next to nothing.
B) I know I'll play it again in the future
Well they got rid of dvd/blu-rays maybe this to clear out all stock and do the same!
I doubt it. After their initial announcement to get rid of "physical media", they were specifically asked about video games and stated that they were only getting rid of movies and music. Plus they've been doing this 10 days, 10 games, 10 dollars sale for a few years now.
Not saying they won't get rid of games at some point, but I don't think it will be in the next year or two.
Has anyone had any luck checking in stores? Best Buy is impossible to get over the phone, but their inventory system kinda sucks. My guess is they might not even offer in-store pick up during these promotions to avoid all the headaches. I know sometimes they can still have a certain low number available in the stores. What about a price match to Target if it's already sold out?
EDIT: NEVERMIND-It's a $10 upgrade to PS5-Not worth it for me.
