I despise luxottica as much as the next guy, but being old enough to have owned several Oakley's before the takeover and after, quality really isn't much different.

The quality of the lenses and frames are the same as they were before Oakley was sold. I've owned pairs before and after. There is no discernible difference. Plastic is plastic and the lenses haven't changed. The hinges were fine and they're fine now. The lenses still get scratched to hell just like before.

I can attest to that. Bought a pair of Latches and within the first week the lenses scratched by everyday use

171.00 is not a deal nor is it 70% off and they are just oakleys that aren't worth the money anyway. You can get just as good glasses from a number of companies for way less. Oakley is just paying for a brand name product that to me is trash anyway but I had to see what a sale looked like and šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ‘Ž NOPE!
