Includes:
  • Lag Shot 7-Iron with the whippy baby blue shaft and jet black clubhead
  • Bonus Video Course showing you how to maximize your distance and accuracy with Lag Shot, taught by 3-Time PGA Teacher of the Year and Founder of Scratch Golf Academy, Adam Bazalgette
  • Bonus Secret Weapon Transition Drill used by PGA pros that will finally enable you to feel exactly what the hips, legs, shoulders, and arms should be doing when starting the downswing
  • Impact secrets of Champions. A short video lesson that will show you how to use LagShot to achieve the perfect impact position so you hit piercing, accurate iron shots right off the middle of the clubface
Features:
  • The Lag Shot 7 iron's weighted clubhead + hyper-flexible shaft forces you to "load the club" perfectly, generate more lag automatically, and make confident swings with ideal tempo and timing
  • Turn that rare "once a round" purely struck iron shot that feels like butter into something that happens all the time
  • Add lag naturally and effortlessly with no forced, manufactured, or "mechanical" feels that make your swing worse
  • Promotes a relaxed grip and smooth "one piece" takeaway (no jerky moves that throw off your swing plane, tempo, or positions)
  • Grooves a fluid, "stress free" transition that automatically stores massive amounts of power without over swinging
  • More distance means hitting 2 clubs LESS into each green, resulting in shorter birdie putts, easier pars, and lower scores
  • Greater accuracy on your approach shots, so you can hit a record number of greens in regulation and "play stress-free golf

I have this training aid and really like it. It's great for pre-game warmup as it is weighted. It's fantastic for rhythm and trying to get a good pace on your swing. For me specifically, it also helps me not to take such long backswings as you can feel the lag created and want to stop your swing at the more correct time. Bonus that you can actually hit balls with it!

Would definitely recommend at this price.

I have one and really like it as a training aid. It's not going to fix everything, but it's very good for improving rhythm. It's also quite heavy, so it's a very good warm up tool before a round. I paid full price, and would recommend it at this price for golfers at just about any level.

I have one and the head broke after hitting my ceiling joists a few too many times in my basement… contacted the company and they sent me a new one. Great CS and might just by another to keep in the car for warmups.

Helps with rhythm like others have said, love the weight to it… a little too much, my irons feel too light after using sometimes. Great train aid for those that have timing issues or need to work on weight shift. You still need to focus and put the time in as no training aid is a silver bullet.

Great practice club. Bought this at the regular price and it really does help. Someone above mentioned the bonus is that you can actually hit with it.

I sent this back after the 30 day trial. Pretty good at this price point though.

Would you recommend this as a birthday gift for my brother in law who loves golf? I'm not a golfer and desperately don't want to become one so any advice is welcome. I've thought about the other trainers that have like a weird weighted ball at the end of them as other potential gifts but not sure if people like receiving them as gifts unprompted

Those "Orange Whip" trainers are good, but require a bit more understanding if you wanted to use it as a genuine training aid. The advantage of the Lag Shot is that it's very obvious how it's supposed to be used to help tempo, and you can also use it as a warmup club, so I think it would be a great gift.

You'll buy it use it for a bit and it'll sit in the garage like most training aids.

Would it count against the 14 club limit at a match/tournament?

After your comment, I went to OfferUp/craigslist to see if there were any used ones for sale that I could get cheap—- the only listings wanted $80 for a used one

No but you can't use it during the round even to stay loose

Some of these comments are posted within minutes of each other, all generally saying the same thing. If these are real, I'd be surprised.

That said, training aids are helpful when you know what you're working on and can isolate certain swing parameters.
