Most bad reviews must be from apple/android watch users. Garmin is a fitness watch first then a smart watch sprinkled in the mix. They have more competition now but no one came close to them for quality and features Garmin offers. Not to mention the longevity of them. My forerunner 935 is still running fine after 6 years probably 7 now. All features still worked without any type of paywall. So yeah, they're like Toyotas of smartwatches. But I'll say they're kind of prepping for subscription model. They're starting to add paid watch faces which used to be free. They're licensed watch faces so it's acceptable but I worry they might have some type of paywall over a feature. Anyways, Garmin is not for everyone but for some of us we are a die hard fan. Infact I am getting my wife 265s tomorrow
I've owned this watch since its release. It's been awesome. There was a point where it wasn't reading HR in the cold but they pushed out a fix that fixed that issue. I highly recommend the Garmin 965 at this price point.

Is there any new GPS chipsets released since 965 was out ? Everyone is wishing for sapphire crystal glass on 975, Gramin mostly reserve it for epix/fenix series

There is no 975 on the horizon. This is their flagship watch. And they are widely considered the best fitness watch brand.

If I didn't grab the Fenix 2 from Sams for $350, I'd be all over this. I have an Apple Watch Ultra and it's fitness features feel like an afterthought.

How does this compare to the Epix Gen 2?

The lowest I've seen was $475, this is a steal for $450. I have the model with the black band, but you can swap the band for a black one if you don't like this bright color.

I feel the same way. I've had my 935 since 2018 and it's been nothing short of phenomenal. Battery lasts an entire week with 1hr runs most days. My brother in law has taken it swimming several times and it's worked flawlessly. So much better than the Samsung thing thing I had before.

I should say I hate my Garmin because it basically ruined watches for me. I have a couple of watches I liked to wear but now it's hard to wear anything but this Garmin.

I don't buy anything Garmin after they got hacked and did not even issue an apology statement nor revealed anything that leaked to their users.

Garmin More like 4x4 Landrover of Watches. Very overkill for regular people.

A timex, Samsung, xiaomi for $50 is Toyota
