This looks like a fantastic deal at this price for the right user.

Excellent CPU, 1TB storage and upgradeable RAM. Reviews say great performance and battery life with excellent cooling.

This laptop only has integrated graphics. The Radeon 780M iGPU is probably the best integrated graphics available, but it still sits well below any discrete graphics cards. This laptop would work fine for casual gaming, but will have issues with more graphic intensive games.
Funny thing, reviews say is it is geared towards content creators, but the screen is one of the weakest parts of the laptop. It does support up to 4 external monitors though.

If you intend to use this primarily with an external monitor and value long battery life over top of the line gaming performance then this is an excellent choice.

I did not until the next morning. And many companies email servers dont spam on the weekends.

I did this for $550 - 10% or $495 plus tax.

Plus the 13% back (no longer available unfortunately) minus the $100 off $500 Amex, down to $340 or so plus tax.

The price is now down to $494.99 with the sign-up code and $549.99 without any discounts, the lowest price so far.

I got this last time it was posted, but combined it with an Amex offer so it was a little cheaper. It's still a great deal at this price. Beast of a machine! Thanks Doc.

This is a great laptop. The performance is amazing, obviously it's not that stylish and the screen is average but the CPU and onboard graphics are insane for this price.

I bought this earlier this year, when it was $50 higher. I combined it with an Amex $105 and 10 percent off, bringing total price to $430. If you have an Amex offer, that brings this down even cheaper. This computer does everything necessary for my girlfriend's administrative assistant -- basic office tasks, and light video editing too. The screen is adequate, not stellar, for this use. Build quality is decent, and I think the CPU and Radeon 780M will make it more future proof. If you have the Amex offer, combined with the 10 percent off -- I think that's a steal for all that you're getting. Thanks OP for all the laptop deals you post. Cheers.

I'm getting this one for $427 after using the Amex $100 off on $500. Is $427 a good deal?

This is the description from Dell's site: "Exterior Chassis Materials: Aluminium exterior shell with plastic back cover." This Inspiron 5645 is better than the Dell computer models beginning with "3." I find the build quality pretty good, especially at this price point. This also has expandable DDR5 RAM. I would buy it again in a heartbeat at the price I paid, which was $50 more than it is now. Cheers

I bought, and returned this laptop. The monitor is the worst I have ever used. At full brightness, it is still dim indoors, and absolutely useless outdoors. IMO, 250 nits is a very poor choice at any price.

The other code, SAVE10, expired now, did not stack with my 5% off military code so I doubt it will with an edu code, but you can try.

I'm also considering this laptop: https://www.ebay.com/itm/30557281...200b850INT
Smaller HD but a slightly faster CPU, and a bit cheaper.
Lenovo, the LaborDayOff eBay coupon code does not work with it.
https://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu....HS&id=5915 Multithread 28623 Single 3746
Dell
https://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=AMD+Ryzen+7+8840U&id=6003 [cpubenchmark.net] Multithread 23546 Single 3661

So I decided to get the Dell, better support?? The price was $549.99 not $599.99 as posted.
I tried 2 different email accounts to subscribe to emails, not my account email, but never received the 10% off code. I used my military discount and some Dell reward bucks to get it down to $512.50 + tax.
That Lenovo also doesn't have upgradeable RAM.

Yeah, that's why people on the first page are trying to warn people. 250 nit screens are really really bad.
With the stacking deals, this laptop is cheap, but youll hate using it.. unless you exclusively use an external monitor. It's a real shame since this would be a great deal if the screen wasnt nearly unusable.
