I don't care either way, I just bought a Ryzen laptop so I don't have to think about it (until whatever issue these have is uncovered, there's always something 🤣) - just pointing out that it may not be so cut and dry. EDIT: IMO, even if it is a BIOS-aggressiveness issue rather than a hardware issue, I don't think that excuses it. You're still at the mercy of your manufacturer. If these HX Intel gaming laptops are being pushed out with tuning that causes damage to your CPU, it shouldn't be swept under the rug as "oh it's just a gaming laptop thing, go tune everything to be within safe/published limits" - it should come that way, and be up to the purchaser if they want to push things into potentially-damaging territory. You shouldn't even have to think about this. Hopping off of the soapbox now.
