If you do subscribe just be aware that they won't give you any heads up when the subscription is about to renew. They'll just charge you the full $36 and then let you know about it afterward. Set yourself a reminder or cancel early and use until sub ends.

I like how they have these 50% codes but I just wish I didn't have to play these games each year. I realize the motivating factor for them is probably to circumvent the 30% app store fees, so I wish they would just renew at their website (when you pay this way) at the 50% off price.

I did an all day off grid hike earlier this fall and did actually lose the trail once, likely thanks to the leaves on the ground. This app in offline mode with the downloaded map saved my ass. I was more than 10 miles from the nearest trailhead at the time
