100%. Even the cheapest model here is better than the top-of-the-line models of a few years ago. The Q5 Pro on sale for $180 could handle a multi-story house easily (but not for mopping).

The auto-empty dock is definitely not necessary, though some folks here will disagree. The people who say they can't live without auto-empty are typically in homes with multiple heavily-shedding pets and carpets who say they'd have to empty it every day.

But if you're closer my situation, with mostly hard floors, some rugs, and no pets, running a schedule covering 2,200 square feet with rooms other than the kitchen and high-traffic areas vacuumed just once a week, I wouldn't recommend the auto-empty feature.

And I wouldn't recommend auto-empty if you have a messy house, because it's a mechanical device that picks up all kinds of debris, and to me you shouldn't buy a robot vac if your goal is to completely ignore it. When I empty it every week or two, I also look under the unit and untangle hair from the roller and side brush, and often (sadly) remove things that are stuck and could clog the whole thing. My wife is a bit of a slob and at various times I've found socks, face masks, hair bands, paper receipts, tissues, and bra pads among the things blocking up the vac. If you rely too much on auto-empty, you could be running the thing for a month or two with crap blocking the suction.

The lowest end Roborocks compare to the highest end Roombas. Roborock is more advanced and a better value.

It looks like Q5 pro is $10 more on Amazon but might be worth it.

I am getting confused with all these model selections. What would be an ideal model for vaccum + mopping. Don't necessarily need to be high end. Just want to get the job done

With these models with mopping features, do you have to map where the hardwood is and the carpet it is so it knows? Coming from a neato that just died.

Wow so many models are kind of confusing.
With my budget, I am just comparing these two so based on my requirement can someone suggest..
I want to clean my common area which is hardwood with carpet in some places. I would say carpet covers about 35% of the area.
I don't have pets just my daughter's bunny which isn't shed much.
I need a mop at least once a week.
And I don't think I need self emptying.
My question
1. Which one is better Q5 pro or Q7 pro?
2. For hardwood should we just mop with water or we can pour any hardwood cleaner into these machines.?

I had 3 of top name robot vacuum's and I've even gifted them during the holidays. Roborock is the best vacuum by far.

The best vacuums are always the one with the newest technology. IMO

What battery did you get and where?
Search for BRR-2P4S-5200D battery and you should land on Amazon and eBay links. I paid around 40$ on Amazon and replaced the battery on my S4 over the long weekend and its been running well. The replacement process was also easy and it was all done within 5 mins. Check the video on the amazon product page as it will walk you on how to change.

I have a mix of carpet and some hard wood floors with area rugs that are a little tall. My current Wyze bot vacuums great but has a terrible time on the edges of the area rugs, gets hung up, confused or stuck.
Are the Roborock models better at this?
If I just want great carpet vacuuming performance and don't care about mopping or docks is Q5 pro the best, and a good upgrade over the Wyze?

Why would this site be a scam? Have you done any homework? This is the leading robotic vacuum cleaner's official website.

Anyone's order still not picked up by UPS?

The package status shows as "UPS doesn't have possession of the package yet. Estimated delivery date will be available as soon as we get the package."

I ordered on. Thursday last week and haven't heard anything. Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same thing.

Would it be best to scoop one now? Looking to buy a house next year and Roborock was definitely a priority on my list. But after seeing the comments saying that the newer technologies is always better and even the new low-end models are better than higher end models of prior years, would it just be better to wait until next year to buy the newest models?

Wait until you need it since Roborock keeps coming out with more models throughout the year
