I've made the same mistake before. I wish they'd either change the name back to just VUDU or start accepting Fandango gift cards for "Fandango at Home" as well. Honestly if they're owned by the same company, they should share gift cards anyways. If I can use an Olive Garden gift card at Longhorn, I should be able to use a Fandango gift card with Fandango at Home.

As for Fandango, the idea that they charge more for tickets bought online is ridiculous anyways. If anything, tickets purchased online should cost less, since there's less labor involved (not paying someone at the ticket kiosk)
So this will NOT work for vudu fandango, only for fandango movie theater tickets?
Is that correct?

No. Just for theater tickets bought online (with a $2 service charge). I made this mistake buying a Fandango card from Kroger yesterday. Frown I do careless mistakes when I don't sleep.

The Fandango/Vudu merge has been a mess. I can't login to my Fandango account anymore because I had a Vudu account with the same email and they screwed up the database so when I login it says to use my old Vudu account to login. But I haven't used that in forever so I do a password reset and it says my account doesn't exist. So I try to make an account and it says I already have one? Just a never ending circle and support hasn't been too helpful.

I'd buy some movie tickets through them as I get those Apple Pay and gift card discounts like this one, plus the reward credits if I can actually get into my account again.

You can waive any AMC Theatres movie ticket processing fees for Fandango, Atom Tickets or AMC Theatres.com if you have AMC Theatres Stubs Premiere or A-List.

https://www.amctheatres.com/amcstubs/premiere

The nice thing about buying tickets via Fandango is the ability to earn the Fandango Rewards to eventually earn $5 VUDU or Fandango credits.

https://www.fandango.com/fanrewards

$5 off tickets for any day when you buy them on Wednesdays using Apple Pay.

Similar experiences. I have Vudu credits out there I can't use bc of this BS. I gave up and won't use them again, there are 10 different ways to get streaming stuff, don't need Vudu

Also I have pretty much given up on big screen movies..... last one was Top Gun Maverick. I had plans with someone for Oppenheimer but didn't happen, and now that I've seen it.... no loss.

Its been like that for many years.
From 'resetting your password' and the resetted password does not work. Than you do it over and over and over and over. Then your realize its not you , the problem is at Vudu's end. Then gift cards do not work. you carefully inset the numbers over and over and double-triple checking. then you realized its at Vudu's end the issue.

note that you should only buy this if u plan to buy tickets that won't need to be cancelled/refunded at the last minute. spending through these 3rd party sites mean you're at the mercy of their customer support, if there are any to begin with. there is not fandango customer service number or chat, you can only go through their email/support ticket system and it'll take them 24 hours to respond etc. if you know of the risk/hassle then you're okay for limited use etc.

That is so true and so stupid for the thumbs down person who is willing to accept robbery style fees.

Ticket prices are ridiculous without discounts. I am in LA and a ticket at an AMC with recliners is $17 + $2 fee. $2 for "convenience"? Its good that AMC stubs is only $14 a year and they waive all that plus you earn $5 for fandango. Convenience for each ticket is robbery.

Agree.

So I called them and I got an old Vudu employee who fixed everything for me. 1 username login .. all good now.
