450 ANSI Lumens For those curious.
I have this. This is a great price.

What is good about it is that the specs aren't exaggerated like so many cheap LED projectors on Amazon. It is objectively brighter than two Amazon projectors I've tried that cost over $100 and claimed 700 ANSI lumen. Colors are also reasonably accurate and the image it produces will look good and sharp. I've projected it at up to 120 inches and it is solid.

The big downsides for me are that it doesn't have any optical or digital zoom, and the keystone adjustment is extremely minimal. What this means is that if you are projecting onto a screen, your placement options are very limited, as the projector has to be a set distance from the screen and also above/below the screen. It also doesn't help that the power cable is super short, but you can use a PC power supply cable that is longer if needed. Not a huge deal, but it can be annoying. Lastly, it did get a few small dust spots over time that I wasn't able to get rid of, but this is common with any cheap LED projector and not a deal breaker.

For this price, if this is your first foray into projectors, you will not be disappointed at all. The image quality and brightness that this is capable of is way better than other cheap LED projectors I've tried.

Something I've learned - when buying cheap LED projectors, check the wattage. This unit uses around 150 watts and comes with a separate brick power supply. I've tried two other cheap LED projectors from Amazon that claimed higher lumen counts and both used 75 watts and neither had an external power supply. This one is far brighter than those, so I think there's something to this.
Depends on your space/storage availability. First try anything that is white and flat. An untextured white wall works surprisingly well. If you have a good wall and are content with the image, stop there.

If you plan to buy a nicer projector down the line and have a dedicated space, I really like my Elite Screens Manual B pull-down screen. It has a slight gain surface, so it helps brighten the image, and the material is solid, so light doesn't pass through it. Downside is you need a place to hang it or store it and they're rigid and very long (if you get a large enough size).

If you use a cheap cloth screen mounted on a frame and it's too close to a wall, light can pass through it and bounce back, making the image look fuzzy. However, if your space allows enough space between the cloth screen and the wall (such as projecting outdoors) this issue is mitigated and they can look good. This can be a good option if you have minimal storage space, but a good pull-down screen will definitely look better.

Very dim but this thing is cheap.....If you have a very dark room this might be okay.
450 ANSI lumen is actually not bad at all (if it is not a lie). Many $100+ projector couldn't even do that.

That said, lots of factor affects quality. Cheap projector usually have cheap lens (meaning 1080p is pointless), very loud fan (to cool the bright LED). And to me, a very important factor is all cheap projectors has no offset. It projects image dead center in the front. At least 1/3 of the image will be below the surface.

The projection will be dim, but it will likely produce much less heat and noise than brighter projectors, if that matters.

Go on eBay and get a used low hours Epson projector. It'll be about 8x brighter than this for the same or similar price.
Are these fictitious $50 Epsons in the room with you right now?

If there's a listing for a functional, low-hours 1080P projector that does at least 800 ANSI lumens and starts at $50, I guarantee you aren't winning the bid on it.

The sixth picture says native resolution is 480p, but can accept 1080p signals. It's a little early for Halloween, but BOOOOOOooo

Watch out. I started with this projector and quickly got sucked into the projector rabbit hole. Now I have a ceiling mounted benq th575 and a dedicated pull down screen.

This rca was fine as a starting point. If you can keep it non mobile, in a very very dark room, and very squared with the screen it's totally fine for $65. Surprisingly good actually.

This PORTABLE projector is 4 times the price, but has Bluetooth, is brighter, and is native 1080p which this RCA is not.

That is really bizarre. You're right that the picture states it's 480p Native Resolution, but the rest of the material and the product details on Wal-Marts app show it having a native 1080p resolution. I'm pretty sure it's native 1080p, but I'm going to watch some videos on it.

Always been curious about home projectors but I'm guessing at just over $50 this wouldn't even come close to the experience I get with my LG C2 65" OLED, right? Refresh rate is important to me because I game at 120 FPS and I'm assuming this is only 60 Hz.

450 ANSI lumens is solid for a moderately dark room. Many mini projectors need total darkness, but 450 lets you close the blinds and still get a bright picture during daytime... if the specs are true.

There is something about projectors, even a decent low end $500 one where they make the watching experience more pleasant. It's the same feeling as watching something in a movie theater vs on a tv. I can't speak about gaming, but watching movies is worth it.

My question is how much power does it draw when in use.
