I decided to cancel my order. I realized this heater has a lot of bad reviews about the plug melting. I'm not interested in burning my house down so I'll find a different heater.

I never set these space heaters on max/high setting (1,500W)... that's just asking for trouble. I recommend finding a heater with three heat settings H/M/L, and set the heater to Medium, which is typically ~1,000-1,100W. While this will take just a little bit longer to get your room warm, there is less of a chance of burning/melting the plug. Unfortunately, this heater appears to have only two settings... High/Low. For me, low settings (typically 750-850W) isn't what I want.
