I have direct tv and don't get ABC or ESPN currently because of a dispute. They are going to give me a $20 credit. But I missed a lot of games this weekend already. I'm tempted to give this a shot because I have to have a TV provider to see NCAA games on ESPN. Does anybody have any experience with Hulu service?

It doesn't have any responses because even after $30 back the price is ludicrous. I admit, I looked to see what it would cost for a month after the $30 back and what it would cost going forward.

Honestly, who pays this much for TV and feels "good" about it!?!?

I've been looking at Sling. I need to get USA, as well as ESPN, Fox Sports. I also found a Sling promo for a free network antenna.

That said, Hulu's no ads is very intriguing. It'll save time AND not bombard us with ads. That's worth $1 per day for the peace of mind.

If you are a member of the Disney Movie Insider rewards program you can get a free 3 month trial of the streaming trio bundle that includes Hulu/Disney/ESPN+:

You must be a new or eligible returning Hulu/Disney/ESPN+ subscriber. If you are a current subscriber you may want to consider canceling, letting the sub lapse, and then take advantage of this offer.

In the interim, YouTube TV offered a free 3 week trial that includes ESPN. My plan is to switch to the Disney offer after my YouTube TV trial and current Hulu sub expire.

For ABC, I'll use an OTA HD antenna that I used that quite a bit last year during the Paramount/CBS holdout.

We've had this bundle for a couple years. No complaints, other than the cost and in my opinion, it's not truly commercial free. They have great on-demand original content as well as a huge library of other on-demand content. My issue is that you're still forced to watch some commercials, during viewing of the on-demand stuff. Has anyone else experienced this. I love Hulu Live+, but once I find a way to watch ESPN and NFL Network at a cheaper cost, I'll be dropping down to the regular Hulu subscription. I know, slim to no chance of that.

It works. We have Hulu + Live TV, Disney+, and ESPN+ (all with ads). Get the $20 plat credit every month.

Charge shows up as "Hulu" with a corresponding Hulu credit a day or two later.

The no ads thing has A LOT of ads when you're trying to watch live tv during time shifting and recordings. I canceled Hulu, but to each their own.

Grab a regular indoor OTA for $10 or something if you're within city limits. Probably need an outdoor antenna if you're rural.

I'm rural and have a 30' antenna. It gets digital stations 50+ miles away (before digital it would receive 100+ miles away). The cheap indoor antenna only gets about 25 miles away by itself.

I use free Paramount subs occasionally to get CBS if necessary. I have Hulu basic as well, but not used it for games. Amazon has Thursday games, that I use occasionally. The indoor antenna reaches NBC & ABC from the same station, and the outdoor antenna reaches all of them (CBS & Fox are 15 miles further away).

The terrain is fairly flat in Indiana, so signals are pretty strong and no real obstructions.

Antenna is the cheapest option and you get a lot of games from the major stations. Some big time games in college are probably the main ones you'll miss out without a sub to ESPN or Red zone stuff.
