I'm very much aware of what he's referring to.

What you fail to realize is that he comments this on every single thread, ad nauseum. There's zero effort to be helpful or informative, so what would you label it? A meme?

As for the rest of your comment, are we just straight up lying at this point?

A BIOS update solves the issue for processors that haven't already been affected.

Even if that weren't the case, as I said previously, the whole system is under manufacturer warranty. It might be inconvenient to buy it only to send it back in six months, but nobody is going to get shafted on this deal.

For anyone who bought a boxed retail processor, Intel has extended their warranty on the component. To say they aren't honoring it is just another lie.
Better 4070 super & Ryzen 7 7800X3D for $100 more. The step from 4070 to 4070 super is substantial, almost 4070 TI performance. The Ryzen 7 7800X3D is universally recognized as the best gaming CPU in the market, period. A complete no brainer upgrade for $100 more than this.

it's been available every month for the past 3 months at Best Buy, and will probably be available again soon as we approach the 15th.

It's under warranty as a prebuilt.

Quit trying to be edgy.

Specs-wise it's pretty similar but it really depends on what components are in thisthing. With the ibuypower, it seemed like some people were getting really lucky with higher end parts, with some reporting even getting a 4070 super. The side mounted video card and AIO cooler was also an upgrade from this. Here, there's no indication of a ton of the specs, including the power supply, RAM speed, motherboard, etc... Obviously, Costco offers the better customer service experience and a longer return policy but, honestly, you could return either to Costco or Walmart if you weren't completely satisfied in the first week or two. As someone who builds a lot of computers and would be able to troubleshoot issues and replace parts, I'd kinda lean towards the ibuypower. It was a pretty underrated deal.

I paid $1699 for this last week and obvs got my $300 back this week due to the sale. I like the build. Seems like a quality mid-tier to higher end system for the money. I ended up adding some extra fans, memory, and RAM from my old build to spice it up a bit.

Mr edgy says he won't buy a new broken product to feel the pain of filing a claim. That's asinine thinking 🤯

Kinda feel like the $1100 deal from Newegg with 2 free games is a better deal. i9 is pretty overkill for gaming. Can save that $300 or spend some of it on specific upgrades.

They're 4800mhz so not 100% ideal but it works.

He's talking about the inherent instability flaw that has been reported widely with Intel CPUs. Intel is refusing to warranty or do a recall on this and there is no fix. Do your research.
