For Zoo and SeaWorld - Can anyone confirm if we can use the 3 for 1 pass as the adult paid ticket and get free kid ticket?

I ask this, because for the SeaWorld, the offer explicitly says "full price adult ticket"...Planning to visit next month, so wondering what would be the best option.
